It's not much longer that we have to be good but it is hard!
One thing I know my mum complains about is when I wake her early. Trouble is that I wake up when the warm starts to happen and I see her in her bed, all fast asleep and no idea of the miracle that is happening as silently the house turns cosy. So I wake her up to tell her and she doesn't like that.
So to avoid that temptation I slept in another room last night. I was proud when I heard mum's clock go and her say "Good morning Princess" to Josie and then "Where's Toby?" and then again in a more urgent tone "Where's the Tobester?"
They came through the hall and it wasn't until mum was in the kitchen to make my breakfast that I bounced in. I was expecting her to say thank you for my lovely lie-in but she picked me up and squidged me and said she didn't like to wake up and not see me.
Sometimes a cat can't win!

BOY, I know that one. Mos' a time I sleeps with mama but I don' lets her goes to sleep. "Is play time mama!" Mama say she tired, but if I's not ina bed when she goes to sleep she say "Where my Novi?" Whatsa kitty gotta do to get it right? SHEESH
It's simple sleep with your mum and don't wake her up. I sit really close to mum and don't wake her and just stare at her so the first thing she sees when she wakes up is my face with the how dare you sleep in stare on it. Mind you I did this the other day and mum said it a great way for her to start her day.
I like waking people up early - today I woke up my oldest girl for food hours before she had to be up!
We don't get to sleep in the bedroom anymore because the husband is so sensitive. Geesh!
I wake mom up every day at 6am even on Christmas!!Sometimes, if mom was up late and wants to sleep in she calls me a pest 0:
But when I was real sick and sleeping in the closet, I didn't wake her up for a week and she decided she really missed me :)
Down deep our mommies are happy to see our shining faces first thing in the morning. Keep up the good work, Toby!
My Mom calls me her snooze alarm, 'cause if the alarm doesn't wake her up, I will! MOL Once that alarm goes off I feel the permission and the duty to harass Mom as much as I want. The trouble is, the alarm usually goes off at the same time most days, but not on some when Mom likes to sleep in. I never got that memo, so I try to wake her up anyways. I get kicked out sometimes for this! Vigilance doesn't always pay . . .
P.S. Concats on the DDP!
I'm sure deep down they are happy to see us bright and early every day. They just can't always express themselves very well first thing! I am glad to know my friends also take their people waking duties seriously. Just one of the many ways we show our love. Purrs Toby
