My mum opened my door for me this morning and a chilled wind rushed into my face.

"I think I'll stay indoors" I announced.

"I don't blame you" said my mum.

Josie reckons she is going to hibernate. I didn't know what that was so I asked.

"You find the cosiest, warmest place you can, curl up and go to sleep and don't wake up again until Spring time - when it's warm again."

Mum reckons cats can't actually hibernate but Josie is going to give it a jolly good try. Mum says it can't be good for a cat to be quite so inactive so I am helping out by chasing Josie around.

I don't wish to sleep until Spring. Think of all the treats and snuggles I would miss - to say nothing of my Christmas presents!

I've been hibernating some lately. I'm glad I'm inside this winter!

I agree mate hibernation is not a good thing. I don't go outside if it too cold either you are a wise kitty. I love to sleep just like the next cat but right through Christmas. I don't want to miss out on my Christmas turkey.

I hibernate, but only during the daytime (it's not sunny and cozy outside, so why bother being up to not enjoy it?) At night, though, I want to play and play, and Mom has a hard time getting any good sleep at night 'cause I want to play so much. But as soon as I have breakfast the next day, it's off to my favorite closet shelf to snooze the day away.
