Yesterday as mum was home all day we could run around in the garden to our heart's content.
My best bit was when I saw a squirrel. I never did see one before and I really wanted to catch him. He was up on the fence and I was very quietly creeping along for my pounce when my mum came running out all shouty and waving and the squirrel ran as fast as he could all along the fences.
I may have mentioned my mum's very unfortunate hunting style before. No wonder the only meat she can bring us home comes in little packets.
When I ran out of things outdoors to chase I came in and attacked Josie which made mum grumpy. I said I thought Josie liked it but mum reckons that's not a happy growl when I attack her.
It's sunny again today and the big doors are open so off for more epic adventures. Even Josie reckons she'll come along.

I think you need to find someone else to hunt with besides your momma - MOL!
You need to teach your mum how hunt like a cat or you're never going to catch anything. You might catch cold but that's about it.
Humans are so clumsy. It's a wonder they can catch anything. But that's why they have to eat so many none-meat items.
Maybe you could try fishing.
Ooh, I do love squirrels too! Usually we are too quick to dash after the squirrel for our Mom to spoil our fun, as we just make a mad dash when we see one. By the time she gets there the chase is over and the squirrel has escaped. All the ones over here are too fast for us, but then we don't have any cover out on the deck to skulk behind, so it's not a fair chase. Plus, the squirrel usually catches us by surprise. Mom doesn't allow us out on the lawn--yet. We'll keep working on her, but for the moment the deck is the closest we get to the outdoors.
