I brought a brilliant frog in on Saturday morning and mum did her little yelp of happy and set off to fetch her frog catching kit (I know! She should use mouth and paws like the rest of us.) I knew where this was going so I quickly grabbed the frog and ran outdoors again. I could hear mum asking Josie which way I had gone and when Josie told her outdoors she asked did I definitely take the frog with me and Josie was teasing mum and saying she wasn't rightly sure so she could enjoy watching mum looking for a frog that wasn't there.
The trouble with frogs outdoors is they do have a habit of slipping under the fence and the game is over.
I found another one yesterday and was determined not to share with mum so we were playing in the garden but the frog got a bit over-excited and started squealing so my mum came out to see what was going on. When she saw my frog she joined in and in all the confusion he got away. See what I mean about my mum being a rubbish frog hunter!
I was grumpy with her so I played a little trick on her later. I came running in and on her foot dropped a small, green ....leaf. It took her a moment and was very funny.
This morning mum wasn't bustling about like normal so I asked if she wasn't going to work. And she said no. It is a Bank Holiday. Hooray! Mum home all day. "Better," she said. "Your surprise is that I have some holiday days to use up so I'm home all day every day this week." Lots of snuggles, lots of playing, lots of snacks. And maybe something with gravy on just to make it perfect!!

Have a fun week with your momma! But I don't think you should use her as a frog-hunting partner!
Have fun week with your mum. I envy you s bit wit Grandpa still in hospital my humans are in and out like yoyos and I miss them when their not home.
You are a stitch, Toby. And quite the trickster.
Sounds like a good week of quality time! Who needs frogs if you've got snuggles?
