When mum came home yesterday she was full of excitement as she said when Victoria got back from work she was off to meet Leo the Kitten next door. Off she went a bit later and came back full of how soft he is and how cute he is and how small he is - but time will fix that. We won't get to see him for a while but eventually he will be allowed outdoors.
Talking of outdoors it was so sunny and lovely when mum got back that she opened the big doors and out I went to play. It wasn't that much later that I heard the door close and it wasn't that much later still when I felt big splashes of rain on me. Not drizzle which I have learnt to ignore but massive drops that could wash the fur off your back.
I ran to the back door and scrabbled frantically to be let in. Mum came - eventually - the rain had been so sudden she hadn't even realised it was.
There was still quite a bit of play left in my paws so although I tried to settle down and be a quiet boy in the end I had to go and pounce on Josie and once she was over the shock we had a good chasing game. And it carried on raining and raining and raining outdoors.
It's dry this morning so I'm off to take advantage of that.

I'd want in outta that rain too!
I go for walks when it is warm enough and I don't mind going for a walk in the rain. Mum towels me off when I go back inside and that's more annoying than the rain. Mind you where I come from sudden down pours are quiet common and I am too used to it.
We had a humdinger of a storm here yesterday, but I watched it from my cat tree.
I was out in the kitty enclosure the other morning when a big rainstorm came I was wet when I came in and mom toweled me off it was kinda nice.
