Toby's Diary

Josie is a little bit poorly

Maybe it was all the excitement of being a cover star. She started feeling peculier last night. When you don't feel quite right inside you really want to be as close to mum as possible so when mum went to sleep Josie was perched on her.

Mum likes to sleep on her side and Josie can work with that but really she likes mum to be on her front so Josie gets a nice flat back to settle on.

Mum kept waking up with a stiff neck from lying on her front with her head turned to breathe and asking "Josie, how are you doing this?" and Josie would say soothingly, "Just go back to sleep now - so I can roll you over again." A wise cat never reveals her methods.

This morning Josie doesn't want any breakfast because her tummy is sad. She just wants to sit on mum's lap and feel comforted. And mum has had to clean up where Josie's tummy was sad. She doesn't have a temperature and she did manage some of her favourite chicken and cheese crunchy treats so mum says not vet yet and we'll see how she goes.

I am being extra entertaining to make them both smile as that's something I'm really good at. (And mum says tonight she'll put the picture of Josie waving on her page and maybe a picture of the card that she made.)

Oh no we are sad to hear Josie is not feeling like herself today. I hope she did eat later in the day and that her sad tummy is happy again, please let us know how she is doing.

Oh no, Josie. We are purring for you. Please have a happy tummy again. Our Mietzi lays on Mom every night, on her legs. But she jumps away when Mom needs to roll over.

Bugger. Sorry to hear that Josie isn't well. Sending purrs and plenty of hugs her way and I hope this only a passing thing.
