We had a very early breakfast on Saturday and I thought that was a good thing but it turned out to be a bad thing as then out came the big bag and mum put stuff in to it and she was gone.
Next door people came to feed us. Josie gets very shy. If people talk to her she can't think what to say so she runs away. I am happy to chat with anyone so I got cuddles too.
Mum came back on Sunday evening. She had been to Norfolk but didn't take me with her this time. I asked why and it turns out that they had been so impressed with me that nothing would satisfy them but to get a black kitten of their own. (I expect they would have liked the original but my mum wouldn't part with me!)
They got two brothers and they are called Charlie and Cecil and mum put a picture on my page. They were borned on Christmas Eve and mum says they were very lively and mischievous as kittens should be but as one year old cats should have grown out of and she gave me that look. I don't think I will ever grow out of climbing curtains as it is fun.
We had missed my mum and she said she missed us. Josie and I both spent a part of the night curled up in mum's arms as if you can feel her then she must be there. Actually Josie took more than her share of the time and I had to remove her and mum said she does not like cats fighting when she is sleeping.
We are keeping close by mum today as home always feels better when she is there.

Glad your mom is back!
I agree that some is way better when mum is home. Your mum wants you to grow out of being lively and mischievous. I'm not as lively as I once was but I've never grown out of mischievous. It takes the fun out of life and I still have my inner kitten too.
Glad your mom is home we do not like it when mom is gone either.
