I helped my mum with the housework. She said that changing the sheets would take half as long without my help. I said, "You are welcome". Why would you want to rush a fun job like that?
Then it was all sunny and warm and mum had the big door open so Josie and I could wander at will. Smudge from next door tried to wander in but my mum saw him off. I don't think she would ever actually hurt a cat but she's quite fearsome when she wants to be and he isn't certain that she wouldn't.
Mum isn't fearsome to the people who live next door, only to those of their cats who are mean to Josie and me. I saw her talking to them at the front of the house and she pointed me out, watching from the window and they came for a better look. I couldn't hear what they said but mum says it was all very good stuff.
After we had so much fun running indoors and out we got tired and I falled asleep in my mum's arms feeling all safe and happy and life is very good sometimes.
Mum says she isn't sure everyone's idea of an amazing weekend is housework followed by quietly staying in but maybe they aren't doing it right!

When mum throw the sheet up to spread it out I pounce on it as it comes down and my reckons it would take her half the time to make our bed but she wouldn't have as much fun without my help.
