I had a late night last night. You know when you play so hard your tail forgets it's a game and goes all fluffy! One of those games. It was brilliant. Then I snuggled up with my mum and Josie snuggled too and we were all sound asleep right through the night.
Then we were woken by a very loud and angry hissing. A giant cat had somehow got in the room and from the sounds of it was in a really bad mood. Josie skedaddled faster than I have seen her skedaddle before. If this cat wanted her gone she was gone.
Then mum reached out a hand and stopped the noise.
In the morning she has a thing that wakes her up if ever I don't get in there first (very unusual) and it has three settings. We can wake up to a loud "beep beep" or the gentle sound of waves rolling on the shore or to the radio. Mum likes the waves as it starts her day nice and gently and she has never tuned the radio in.
Somehow and I'm not pointing at any kitty in particular but Josie has been known to play with the volume on that thing - somehow the setting got changed to being the radio and mum says if there isn't a station tuned in to then it just hisses and that's what woke us up.
What a relief! It's bad enough being chased by bad cats outdoors, we don't want them coming in our sleepy places.

Pooh, thank catness that it was just the radio. Yes, I'm Mom's furry alarm clock too. Sometimes she doesn't even set her alarm any more. I always wake her before that goes off. Her's is tuned to the radio.
That sounds very scary Toby! I'm glad you're there to protect your mom from those angry cats!
