Mum came home last night and said she was off to the library but when she came back she had some trousers for me. Trousers? She has enough trouble keeping a collar on me so good luck with trousers!

Only when she did come back the trousers weren't to wear, they were to play in. They are sort of like two short tubes. mum reckons they are tunnels and I could walk right through but I don't believe her. When she pulled toys through I just came out and pounced on them from the other side.

She took a couple of pictures so they are on my page now along with one from Sunday's cosy session which would have been of the two of us nestled very close but luckily Josie woke up and was able to move so she doesn't look like she was that close at all.

When mum was out she saw Victoria from next door who told her that bad boy Smudge has had his operation and isn't the boy he weas so he should be a calmer cat. And that he has been in a nasty fight, they think maybe even with a fox. But he is doing OK. I would not like to meet a fox and mum said, "Remember whne I wouldn't let you out at night..." Mum would not like me to meet a fox either. I reckon Smudge could give as good as he got but I'm more of a runner away than a fighter.

This is why even though I am allowed out in the day I prefer only to go out when my mum is home. She is pretty good at yelling at bad cats while I make a swift dash for the safety of home.

Remember when you said in your diary the other night that you wanted to go out on a night adventure? Well foxes are one of the many reasons it better to be inside at night mate. They could eat you in one or two bites. I would miss you if something happened to you Toby. Stay inside it's much safer.

Oh thank catness, Toby, that you don't have to wear trousers. When I saw your diary title I was really worried there for a minute. You will learn to zoom thru the tunnel. We have one too, somewhere. Mom needs to get it out for me again. I hide in there and then zoom out when I see Mietzi walking by, MOL.

Good that Josie didn't get caught on film snuggling with you. I mean, we all know that boys have cooties. I NEVER lay that close to Timo that I actually touch him. Mom doesn't understand it because I touch him when we wrestle. I try to tell her that's different.
