Mindful of my New Year's Resolution I was determined to step in and help whenever I could this weekend.
Mum put all the Christmas things away in a cupboard which I couldn't help with but then she said that she needed to swivel the table round. She told us that it is pretty heavy so please could we keep out of the way in case.
And miss all the fun? Josie even rode on the table for part of the swivelling process and we both helped by being where it had been and where it was going so mum would know if she had moved it right. I wish she would move furniture every day!
The other good part was how many of my toys she found behind it - and while she was in the mood she got a stick and knocked all the toys out from under the sofa and we helped by tapping back any we wanted to keep there - only she got them again and my toy box is really full. What she didn't find were the things I hid last week but I hid them well. The egg timer won't stand up on it's own so the sand won't run so no eggs for her for a while.
The last job she did was my very best favourite. How have I never seen a feather duster before? She didn't realise just how much of our attention she had until Josie pounced on it. It was brilliant. We ran from room to room with her and had a marvellous time.
I was so glad I chose helping with housework for my New Year's as it is so much better than trying to be kinder to Josie which I haven't really been.

Cleaning never sounded like so much fun until now. Great to hear your toy box is full it amazing what you can find when your humans clean under things. That father duster sounds like fun must get mum to get one for me try.
You sound like the most helpfulest cat I know, except for me when I shred the bits of paper Daddy does his work with! You are sticking to your new year resolution well, keep up the good work!
You are doing a pawsome job on that resolution! I hate that the parents take down Christmas though, I really liked Kringus! But finding lost toys is always good!
I said, it's KRINGLE...not KRINGUS!!! I;m still looking for him!!
