Breakfast

I have always enjoyed as much of Josie's breakfast as I can get but had never really considered mum's. Her bowl doesn't give off that rich aroma of chunks of fish or meat in yummy meat or gravy that we so enjoy.

But I got close to her bowl the other day and what is this? A more delicate ambrosial scent filled my nostrils and I knew I had to have some. There was a degree of argument on that front. I started with just pushing my head in but mum is less of a pushover than Josie. Then I tried a dainty paw dip but mum pushed my paw back. Then the sudden attack.

In the end I wore her down and she gave me the end of the bowl. Mmmmm! Milk. Delicious.

Mum says when she was a kitten all the cats drank milk not water and looking back she thinks that wasn't good but I envy those cats. We just get water but mum lets me have a little now on her cereal days. I am trying to be good and wait for her to finish her share but it isn't easy. Thw paw drifts.

I love milk too! My mom said that she heard cats are lactose intolerant, but I never have a problem with it. Mom doesn't give it to me that often though. You know what is even BETTER than milk? WHIPPED CREAM! I tried that when mom was having ice cream one day (ice cream is also good), and whipped cream is SOOOO delicious! I went crazy. You should try it Toby!

Toki is right mate some cats are lactose intolerant. Mum never given me milk she says she had a bad experience with a previous cat she had. She wouldn't go into detail but said it was gross. People food is good and I strong recommend you keep trying some of the foods your mum eats. Turkey and chicken are great.

You know what I can REALLY recommend? Cheese!! I love cheese. Any cheese, even the really spicy ones like Swiss Appenzeller. We never got any milk, but anyway, cheese is WAY better. And if your little kitty heart is set on milk, there is lactose-free milk to be had now, as many humans don´t like that stuff either. Happy enjoys a bowl full of kitty milk every morning. It´s milk made specially for cats.

I am lactose intolerant. I love milk but every time I drink some, it comes back out the way it went in. Mom says it's not pretty. So I'm not allowed to have any. Unless I steal some when Mom isn't looking, MOL.
