A while back I heard a conversation about Mean Cat between my mum and people next door. They don't call him Mean Cat, they call him Smudge. He isn't their boy but he turned up one day and doesn't seem to have a home of his own. He isn't so mean to their cats but when mum told them about how he treats us they said it may be because he is a whole Tom and they will get that seen to.

I am glad that I am such a Sweetiepie so I won't have to have my bits seen to. But then mum said firstly she wasn't sure that Josie would exactly use the word Sweetiepie to describe me and Josie coughed very loudly at that moment so I think mum may be right there. And secondly I might turn mean and go off and get in fights.

Why would I do that? Mum said I might be looking out for lady cats. Josie is quite enough lady cat for me thank you. I wouldn't want any more! But mum says that would change so I have to go and have an operation. She said that there are too many unwanted kittens in the world and she would hate to think that I might be responsible for some of them.

So tomorrow I have to go. I am not happy about it, not happy at all but mum reckons pretty much all of my Catster friends will have had it and Josie says it's worse for the lady cats so I reckon I'll be Ok. I won't be able to write my diary tomorrow but don't worry. I'll be back to say how it all went.

Yes, there is the problem. Whole Toms don't like little Toms like you at all. They like to pick fights and they fight fierce. Also, you know, if you don't have the operation you might start spraying stuff and Josie and your Mum won't like that. Well, Josie might actually find it interesting but I bet your Mum won't care for it.

Don't worry Toby. I had my operation a long time ago and you'll pretty much sleep right though it. You like naps, right? We'll be thinking of you tomorrow.

Sending purrs for you tomorrow Toby. For boys it a easy operation and you will be sound asleep all the way through it. Mum was told I would be a little sleepy when I got home after my operation and I ran around the house like a mad thing. But your mum is right there are too many unwanted kitten in world and your doing your bit to help prevent any more mate. It doesn't hurt too much and your mum is getting it done because she cares about you. After tomorrow you may think she has a funny way of showing it.

dood....well...lets just say ya mite walk inta de vet weighin 9.85 poundages N when ya walk outta de vet ewe will be weighin 9.80 poundages...but hay.... yur sir jerry will help ya live like a LONG time ...mor sew than if ya dinna haz sir jerry....best fishes buddy

Look at it this way. If you have the operation now, you have a lesser chance of developing prostate cancer and some other horrible diseases like that. It should be done. We'll be here for you! Losing your grapes doesn't make you any less of a man.

I purrayed that you would recover from de surgery real quick. How are you feeling Toby? I had the big girl surgery, and it was no purroblem. In fact, I had to have the surgery TWICE because the Vet didn't get all of de tissue de furst time, and I made it. You don't feel like purrlaying right after de surgery, but you will again in no time. Josie will pawbably be a furry good nurse to you, cuz she loves you. Your mum will pawbably give you extra head rubs, so dat is good, right? I hope that you will be feeling right as rain in no time!
