I am, of course, an unusually brave cat but two things that were scary happened at the weekend.
Sometimes when my mum comes home I run out of the front door and I have a sniff about until I get bored or my mum fetches me in and she leaves the door open when I do that.
I was so fast and she was so laden with soggy things on Saturday that she didn't see me go and before I knew it the door was shut and I was locked out. I knew I needed to find somewhere safe to hide but I couldn't leave the porch as it was raining a lot.
Luckily for me there was one thing. Every Saturday a man comes with a box of vegetables for me to try out as toys and mum leaves the empty box from last week for him to take away. It was folded and on its side but I was busily unfolding it to get in when my mum heard my cries for help and opened the door. I was very happy to see her I can tell you.
The rain carried on a lot with little bursts of sunshine inbetween and I was asleep on my bed when there was a big noisy rumbling all out of nowhere. I looked at my mum and she was no help as she said it was just thunder. JUST thunder! It is terifying stuff. I knew exactly who would understand and where she would be so I trotted off to find Josie in her bed under mum's bed. I was hoping for a reassuring cuddle but Josie thought I had gone there to attack her - was ever kitten so misunderstood?
She ran out but I stayed under the bed until all that noisy thunder had gone. I told my mum that she must make sure it never happens again. She said she will be more careful with the front door but she can't stop the thunder. We got by perfectly well without it for the first few months of my life. I don't see why we need it now!!
I have recovered anyway and had a lovely night cuddling up with my mum and purring lots.

Toby thunder is scary but it's like rain a fact of life mate mind you you don't have to like it. I'm not fond of loud noises either. Must the fact I'm getting old.
That is a scary weekend. I got out once too. I am very sneeky and I got out on the deck when it was storming. Mom quick ran out to put the haning plants down and on her way back in I slipped out. Mom had not Idea and I was out there in the storms all night. I guess I learned my lession and i haven't tried it again.
Glad you are ok buddy

Toby, the thunder is just the angels bowling. Nothing to be scared of.
How nice that the vegetable man brings you new toy-veggies to try out each week. Wow, that's service. Do you also have a fish man who delivers trout and tuna?
