There is a thing called Feng Shui that says that for the best lifestyle things should be uncluttered and clear. I can't remember where I heard that but I remembered it at about 2.30am and I called Josie and explained it to her.

She agreed that our mum could do with some help with this as she is something of a maximilist and we started with her bedside table. She has two boxes of tablets on there, it only took a moment to get rid of them, there was a book- slightly more challenging but we managed it, - and a small angel. Now that's made of metal and we knocked it over on its way to the edge and it woke my mum up.

She looked up and saw the two of us sitting there, thoughtfully clearing space for her, but she wasn't as appreciative as you would have expected her to be. Maybe she wanted to keep the angel? Maybe she hadn't realised quite how much good work we had already done?

She put the angel back so I knocked it over again so she put it in the drawer. She was getting the clutter free idea. Only I noticed this morning that she put everything back again.

A cat's work is never done!

One thing I've never understood about humans in my 13 years of life is why they like have clutter around them. It seems really strange. I only need three things to be happy. A bed to sleep in, a bowl to eat out and a heater to keep me warm. Oh better make that four things and mum to love me.

You are right Toby. A cat's work is nefur done. I can't tell you how many times I have cleared stuff off the dresser, just to have Jen put it all back.

You are right Toby...a cat's work is NEFUR done! Daisy and I do our best to keep the coffee table, bookcase, and DVD shelf cleared off fur Meowmy, but she always puts efurrything back. We try to clear things off when she isn't looking, for she isn't appreciative in the least bit. We've been having a bit of bad luck removing items lately...we somehow always manage to make a noise...something will tip ofur, and then Meowmy is right there telling us off for our good deed! Humans just don't appreciate what we do for them...

Wow, you guys are awesome helpers. Clutter is no good. It's good that you are helping your Mom NOW before her place gets so cluttered that she needs to have professionals come in and declutter, and then you could watch it all on TV. That would be no good.
