Wow, has time gone by,
you can really see it fly!
So much time has passed
between this entry and my last.
I can't say I've done much,
lots of napping in the sun and such.
I've eaten a few cans of tuna,
and run fast from a balloon-a.
I like to watch the birds,
I like when they're in thirds.
I recently found a roach
it did not see me approach!
I splatted it with my paw,
a better huntress you never saw!
I've gotten even more fluff,
you really can't have enough!
I'll try not to take so long
to purr you another song.

I heard my cat-mahm talking
about this special place.
She's saving all her money,
it's a dream she wants to chase.
It's called "a private island"
where no people come to roam.
Just her and me and company
of other cats to be our home.
There will be no shooting,
no plane crashes or bombs.
Simply waves of water
and shade by tall, green palms.
She says we can have as many cats
as would care to join us there.
She'd pack many, many toys and treats
and all the veterinary care.
We could roam the island
and sleep all day in the sun.
We'd be safe from all the baddies,
protected from everyone.
This place, she says, she's dreaming,
but I bet indeed it's real.
Maybe if I save my tuna money,
we can get something for a steal.
It just seems this world's too nasty,
we'd rather be alone.
So we'll keep on sailing,
till we dock at our private home.

There'll be tuna down the mountain when she comes...
I'll be face down in that bowl having fun...
she promised to be cooking
and you know that I'll be looking
for that tuna in my food bowl when she comes.
Well she's trying an old recipe tonight...
she's very good so I know she will get it right...
When she dumps the tuna in the bowl
the sauce will feed my soul
Oh, I sure do love tuna with all my might.
She promised me tuna as soon as she gets home...
maybe because I stay here all alone...
but for me that is OK
because I say heck, no way
to sharing any tuna, take a bone!
Oh yeah, there's tuna down the mountain really soon!
I hope you don't think I'm a big buffoon!
But I feel my nose puffs foaming
and my whiskers, they are honing,
as I sing my drooly tuna-coming tune!
