being cuddled, pet, or held....and tissues or blankets
being alone, the dark
Favorite Nap Spot:
on any available person or under the covers
he always came when called, loved to roll over, get under blankets, hoard tissues under the bed, and occasionally.. his 2 front teeth would stick out comically and he drooled lol
Virgo and Magick's son, Milo and Reever's brother. I became very close to him and very attached to him since he was a few weeks old....he and Milo always came together when called, and they followed me everywhere. I remember when Milo went missing Neptune took walks with me when I went looking for him, even walking right into a lady's house with me when I was invited in, and I had to explain who he was XD. He was sooo cute. He tried numerous times to follow me on the bus, and was the only cat I know that was afraid to be outside alone, especially at night. He'd jump and meow at the door if you didn't notice him quick enough. And then as soon as he'd get inside, he'd roll over and drag himself across the floor purring, to be pet. He was friendly with everyone, and would lie on the couch and watch tv with me. I used to go and sit on the porch with him and his brother in winter with them wrapped up in my winter coat, and we watched the cars go by until either they fell asleep purring or my leg fell asleep lol, whichever came first. He hoarded tissues and stuffed them under the bed to make a 'nest'. He would never really hurt anything. Once Milo caught a shrew and I watched Neptune go over and grab it from him, run to the woods and put it down to proudly watch it run off. He was the clumsiest and most naive cat I ever knew too. He was so adorable though, and I still miss him so much. :(
On Halloween in 2005, he was following me like always, but I was trick-or-treating with my friends, and being Halloween, it worried me, but they insisted we'd be gone 15 minutes tops, and he'd be fine if he waited for us where he was-he used to stay in the same spot if I told him to wait and said we'd be back in a minute. I did it often, and he'd stay in the same spot for over a half hour.....So I have an image burned into my mind of him sitting atop the hill I last saw him on, staring at us as we crossed the street. That was the last time I saw him. He always came when called, but when we got back...nothing. I knew something was wrong then. You don't ever really get over it..there's no closure and it's like losing a kid. I regret that he was ever an indoor/outdoor cat...I did before, but so much more after that it's hard to compare. But at the time I had no choice, because I was a kid and my opinion didn't count at home...they were indoor/outdoor and that was that at the time.
He had not one, but two collars on that day..a flea collar and a regular collar...but no tags because we just replaced his collar, since someone either removed his last one or he lost it, a week earlier. And that was out of character too, because that's the first time he'd ever gotten his collar off. But any person can tell that a cat with two collars on isn't homeless. He was either harmed or stolen that night, and both outcomes worry and infuriate me. And the only reason it infuriates me is that no one came forward or ever returned him to us, probably never even considered that they have someone else's cat. I would be happier than ever if he ever comes home, probably be in shock, but happy lol.
I still miss him more than anything, and so does the rest of the family still-years later.
