Vet started Hope on prednisone and an antibiotic. She eating little bits - total of about 2oz food so far today on her own. Mom be giving her some nutristat mixed with water in syringe and sometimes more food that way. Mom brought her up and sat with her in the sunshine a while today, remembering that help human babies with jaundice. Mom really hoping she make it, but preparing herself that little Hope may not be with us for very long. Trying to decide about makin' her own page. If she dies, it will be the first little one we have lost in a very long time. Mom trying to remind herself that they said I would die. They said Phoenix would die. We are both still here! Any ideas on what more we can do to counter the jaundice?

Wish we had some suggestions, but we're giving her lots of purrs. We're hoping that those help.
Purrs always help. Mom decided to make Hope her own page - maybe it be good luck!
Mom is saying her textbook says that if she's not throwing up, lethargic, megathirsty, got diarrhea or pain - when you pick her up that it's a very good sign. She's dehydrated, I would think, so she would be thirsty, but she should have an adequate outpouring for each input. The quality of the stool becomes important too. Does it look brown? That's good. Red, black, yellow or black & tarry is bad, in addition to diarrhea.
The goal is to get her to get through tomorrow. Each day she can hold her own will add to her chance of recovery. So just focus on helping her get through tomorrow.
Another thing is vitally important for your mom is that each day she sees you return adds to her trust that a human being can be there for her. That she can be loved again through another day. That this next person won't just leave her and not return, or ignore her troubles.
It is a beautiful gift that you are giving her, no matter the outcome, which is out of your complete control. Only what you can do for her in the present day matters now.
We applaud you for all the careful and heartbreaking rescues you have done. We will celebrate or cry with you when we find out what happens to Hope in the future. But when we count all those that have turned into huge blessings in your life we trust that you and God will both do your best with Hope too.
Wow, what great information! We can see that she has peed some in the litter. No stool yet. We been force feeding both food and water till this evening. She suddenly got up and ate about a 1/4 cup of 1:1 catfood-water. She just wants to sit on our laps, so somebody pretty much in the bath with her all the time just letting her sit on a lap. Tomorrow we all gonna be at work part of the time. Hate having to leave her for a couple of hours, but cannot avoid it. Just so happy she eating some for herself tonight!
Sending her lotsa purrs!
Sending many many purrs. We love you guys...and we send lots of good healing energy to Hope!
