Arrival Story:
I first saw Mia on the GCAC euthanasia list. I waited a few days to decide whether or not to adopt her and her 2 kids. I decided to go for it. We arrived at the shelter and couldn't find Mia anywhere. The coordinator I work thru said she was on her way back from the surgery clinic. When she arrived, we learned she was very sick and one of her babies died after the surgery. So I took Mia and her son Lucky home with me. Mia immediately claimed the bath tub and after that she spent awhile living under my daugters bed. She's just come out of hiding in the past week. Her shelter name was Abby, but she looked at me one day and asked me to change her name to Mia.
