indoors Arrival Story: Pickles & his Mum Pepper were in an animal shelter due to his elderly previous owners going into care. When we got them the were 13 & 14 years old, and we adopted them both. Pepper sadly passed away aged 18 in 2007. Pickles was upset as he loved his mumma. Bio: Pickles quickly became even more affectionate and clingy towards us after Pepper died and we have an extra special bond. We spend lots of time with Pickles, as he hates being on his own. He is very intelligent and loves talking, he meows and tells us what he is up to all the time. He is currently the oldest cat at our vets, and he is the nurses' favourte patient as he is so well behaved! He is a huge charecter and he likes attention and to get his own way! we have now owned him for 8 years and he still acts so young considering he is 21! He is a bit deaf in one ear, lost some teeth and lost a bit of muscle, but he is still very handsome and the vet said he looks way younger than he is. Gorgeous boy! I turned 22 last week, and still think I'm young! I can still run & jump down the stairs too. I am now on a special diet as my kidneys were starting to show signs of going bad, but the good news is I have had permission from the vet to have as much cream, cheese and any other high fat food i like to keep my weight up, as long as it's not protein. Yummy!
Happy Birthday to me! 21 years young today, and it's a nice sunny day. Already been sunbathing, and I hope I get lots more cuddles and dreamie treats, (even though I was a bit naughty last night because I kept waking Mummy), but I was excited!!!
I often go hypo and have to let off steam, to do this I run around the house as fast as I can & meow loudly. Daddy finaly caught me flying off the stairs while I was having one of my excited moments....21 next month, not bad for an old timer !
