indoors Arrival Story: I went to a shelter after they told me that had a brown tabby for me. I had told them I was looking for one. Well he sure was not a brown tabby but I wanted him instantly. He was so adorable! Bio: Ethan is into everything. He's always busy doing something. He's a very sweet kitty without a mean bone in his body. I am so excited to be a Daily Diary Pick today! Thank you Catster & any who make the selections. And all because I have allergies! Yesterday I ate fish & potatoes and loved it. My mom found some cans of it in the cupboard. She had bought a few cans months ago. Today I eat Salmon and peas. Tomorrow? Who knows? Maybe some caviar???
It is nice to celebrate another Gotcha Day. I am so glad I got to come live at my house with my mom & dad.
Unfortunately I am not feeling too well these days. After various meds for stress, anxiety and allergies, it appears I do have food allergies. Nobody was sure whether it was stress or an allergy at first. The bad part is I hate the Duck and Pea allergy cat food! Yuck! The only way I will touch any is if my mom mixes some of my other food in with it but then that defeats the purpose of it. I am not supposed to have anything but the duck food. :( I have lost weight due to not eating. I am hungry & want to eat, just not that food. I am still itching like mad- all over but the worst is my face & ears. I look like I have been in a few cat fights due to me scratching my face. The antihistamines don't have much effect except to make me want to sleep all day. So what a mess. My mom has ordered some other allergy food for me to try and I hope it gets here soon. *sigh With already having heart problems & kidney failure I can't believe I can't even eat my favorite foods anymore. No treats either. What's a cat to do?

I'm sorry it took me so long to get this update done. My mom's had a busy week. But all was good news! My heart is even smaller than the last time. My murmur is down to a 2. My kidney values are stable and a bit better than in December. I gained a little weight back. But I am still not feeling well. I have some kind of itchy problem going on. I scratch my ears and eye area until it bleeds. I also lick my body & tail a lot as if scratching. My cardiologist didn't feel comfortable treating this issue so I am going to my regular vet this coming Tuesday. She did prescribe an antihistamine (more pills!) but so far it doesn't help a lot. All the scratching makes it so I can't relax much so have been a bit lethargic. She thinks it may be an allergy to something. I guess we might find out next Tuesday.
Today is my baby brother Tristan's birthday. He is one year old. Where did the time go? We will be having some fun later celebrating so I look forward to that. He's hoping to see the goldfish plant bloom today but I didn't have the heart to tell him it doesn't even have a bud.
