Arrival Story:
Lenore or Lennie is Rocky's mom. She lived on a porch a few houses away but very often came to my porch as well. Though the other people put food out, they never spay or neuter, so when Lennie become pregnant for the second time in 2010, I decided to bring her in to have her babies. Rocky was one of 6 kittens, nicknamed the Cowboy Clowder as they were all named for cowboy stars.
Bio:
Rocky was one of 3 orange boys. I had not originally planned to keep him or his sister, Calamity Jane, but was having trouble finding homes for them. A brother and sister, Lash LaRue and Dale Evans, wne to a very good an loving home in Texas. I had decided to keep Roy Rogers and Trigger(also oranges). Then when Roy died as a result of a terrible accident on January 5, I decided to stop looking for homes for Rocky and Calamity. They will stay with me. Their mom is now a permanent indoor kitty as well.
Rocky has also earned the nickname Rocket Man because as soon as he was able to get around, he ran every where, full out. I would say, here comes the Rocket Man...and zoom, there he goes.
