Arrival Story:
Calamity's mom(Lenore) was an outdoor kitty. When she became pregnant for the second time within a year, I decided to bring her inside to have her babies. Calamity was one of 2 calico girls. Her sister, Dale Evans, was adopted along with her brother Lash LaRue and now lives in Texas...where incidnetally her namesake, the singer/actress Dale Evans, was from. Originally I planned to try to find a home for Calamity and her brother Rocky Lane, but when a brother(Roy Rogers) I had planned to keep died from a very terrible accidnet, I dedided to keep both Calamity and Rocky along with Trigger, another brother.
Bio:
Calamity was the first of the kittens to eat solid food at age 3 weeks. The she was the first to use the litter box about two days later. She is very smart and takes no guff from her brothers.
