From the Inside

I’m a jumper

Dad bought 2 gates so that I can spend some time in the kitchen upstairs.
Well, I have been watching my buddy Fluffy jump over the gates. Dad said he didn’t think I would ever try it myself.

Well, this morning he found me sitting on top of the gate. Proud as a peacock!! (sorry Tabbies for the BURD reference..my bad!!)

Then I wouldn’t move when he tried to get around me on the stairs. I just sat there when he walked over me.

Maybe I am finally starting to trust humans…

1 Year !!

Today, one year ago, I was lurred into the Have a Heart trap and began my life on the inside.

I am a low key member of our family and still very unsure of those humans that try to be my friend. I know they mean me no harm and bring me good things to eat. But as soon as they try to come to close, I run under something and hide. This has made getting me to the vets an impossibility.

I am very quiet and a low energy kitty. Nothing like Xena, who is tweaked (that is what the Man and Lady tell me).

I got better for a while and was even letting the Lady pet me. Then I decided I just didn't like it.

I may never be more trusting than what I am now to the humans.
But, they feel better knowing I am fed and safe.

I have my own apartment downstairs and like to sleep in my blankets and beds that were bought for me.

I love my kitty brofurs and sisfurs. The Man made a screened gate that is at the top of the stairs so they can see me and I can see them..but we can't touch each other. I love to sit and watch them go about their day.

I've gained some weight and have that indoor kitty belly and I love scratching pads with catnip. Can I make a mess of those things.

Thanks to all that have stopped by today. Hopefully, I will have a breakthrough in 2012 and begin to trust my humans.

Maybe that can be my New Years Resolution..

My 1st friend...and I am a girl

Fluffy is officially my first friend. Mom and Dad let him come in and visit with me. I think he is very handsome and we walk together side by side. I roll over on my back too.

I know he really just wants to steal my food. But I like when he visits. We sat in the window yesterday and watched the birds together. Dad got a photo with his phone. It is not very good. So, Mom hopes to get one with her camera soon.

It is time for my first vet visit....I'll keep you posted.

It is official...Mom has seen my tail high and there are no spare parts...I am a little girl. Dad is very happy about that.
