Favorite Nap Spot:
The throw rug in front of the sink. It's close to the fridge so he doesn't have far to go anytime someone opens the fridge door, lol.
Almost anything. He lived out in the wild for quite some time and probably ate anything he could get his lips on. He is quite a people food beggar. We try to keep him to Purina One.
indoors and outdoors
Senka chose us 2 days after Christmas 2010. He was in our driveway one night so hungry he was munching on a toad. Then he just followed us all around until we broke down and took him in. He was too sweet to turn away. And he's been with us ever since. Because he's mostly black and follows you around like a shadow, my younger daughter wanted to name him Shadow. We already had 2 cats named Zen & Buddha, so I wanted something a bit more exotic sounding than Shadow so I looked up names that meant "shadow" and found the name Senka. That's how he got his name.
For now, Senka is an indoor cat. Until he gets bonded with us, I want to keep him in. In a few months we'll probably start letting him out once in a while. We live on 3 acres in the woods 1/2 mi. from the road, so I'm ok with the cats going outside for some fresh air and exercise once in a while. They usually don't roam far from the house. I will have to keep a close eye on Senka, though, since he spent a great deal of time outside as a partially feral cat, he has a level of comfortableness with wandering in the outdoors that my other cats don't have.
