New Headcount PolicyNovember 10th 2012 8:47 am[ View A Comments (16) ]
The Dad around here got up to feed us this morning. Newman was sitting by the Dad around here's office cause we like to go in there after breakfast to look out the front window.
Yup, we have a head count policy...esp after poor little Suki got locked in a closet when the peeps went away:( So even with 2 kitties, the pawrents make sure we are visible before locking up, going to bed behind a closed door, or leaving the house. Glad you were OK! Did you leave any message on your Dad's confuser?? MOL! I'm EASY to count! You can't miss my furry booty.. Sorry ya had to wait use the "facilies" Inky! Mom counts us at least three times a day (when food bowls are put out and at bedtime). Sometimes she will count if the humans have been in and out of the house alot or had company, to be sure that we did not have any escapees! (or walk-ins for that matter, MOL!) Mommy counts us all every day, several times a day! We only have to count to two and a half, that's easy to do. Oh boy, I bet you were wiggling from one paw to another trying to hold it in. If our mom doesn't see us after some time, she may do a head count....Then, she brings out the food and we come running.. Mom does a head count too each morning before work and at feeding time and then at night well she locks the door to the room where the bird lives, we are not allowed in there when she is gone or sleeping so we get our heads counted again before she locks the bird up for the night. She started this after I got locked in there with that bird one night MOL and I did not even try to touch or nothing. Yeah, there are counts when people leave and when they go to bed. Every day when Daddy gets home he does a headcount in case something happened during the day. Plus he wants to see us since we don't run to the door to the garage every time he comes home like Sarge did. Dang, I wish we had a bird Tiny! It sure would be fun to get locked in the room with a bird! There's only two of us and no restricted spaces. Except we're not allowed in the cellar or outside. We SHOULD have a head count policy. One evening this summer I got locked out on the patio and Mom didn't even notice. I had spent a lot of time sleeping on a lawn chair that day. Mom went to bed and she thought she heard a baby cry (we have new neighbors upstairs). It took until 1:30 am and a lot of loud meowing on my part until Mom put 2 and 2 together: wait a minute. Where is Timo? Baby crying, pah. I have a high voice but I don't sound like a baby. Hey Inky, our mom always does a head count when she and dad leave the house. I like to explore so she makes sure I am not shut up anywhere where I might get into trouble, MOL! Who ME? Headcounts don't always work! When Daddy got home tonight he saw two of us. Then I went into the garage when he was getting groceries. I was trapped in there for half an hour until he heard me screaming. We have a head count policy. Luckily, we only have to worry about it when Mom and Dad leave the house. We've all proven trustworthy enough to not have any restricted rooms. I do still manage to get myself locked in the bathroom sometimes. Sure do! Me and Tiny can hardly use the litterbox without Mommy.wondering where we are. She is always counting. Can't a guy get some peace? |
