Arrival Story:
Cinder appeared at my doorstep, a few weeks ago, and she kept coming over, every evening, when I would come home from work, (no matter what the hour) Of course, I started feeding her, but the stray dogs kept stealing the dry food, and also, we have huge raccoons here (we live in the foothills of Mt. San Jacinto, near Palm Springs, Ca) We had severe rains for about a week, and she did not come around, then she showed up again, as soon as the rains stopped, so I made the decision to bring her inside, and take my chances with her "fitting-in" with the rest of my Cats. She may be coming into heat (we get a lot of "drop-offs" here, which was how we acquired Smudge [and Uno]) I am hoping that I caught her "in time" and that she is not PG, (although a beautiful,pure-white Kitty, who looks exactly like Casper, was playing with her, last week ;) ) ***UPDATE*** Cinder has gone from "Cinder~Ella" to "Cinder~Fella", as I decided that it was a "He", but he is neutered Thank Goodness!

Bio:
She is my "Christmas Kitty", (much like the book,"The Cat who came for Christmas", by Cleveland Amory) I have been keeping her confined to a large Dog crate, and in the bathroom, where she can "meet" my other cats,"safely". So far, a lot of hissing, but no "casualties", so far! I really do not know much about her, except that she is very weet, and super friendly, to human contact.

Kitten Love!

This morning, when Momma Carol went out to feed the few feral kittens & cats, the little Gray one that looks like me, allowed her to pet him!!!
Momma was very surprised! He has been getting closer and closer, each day, and he didn't even flinch!
The black/white kitten still is shy, as was the big Gray/white "Tommy", but they still appreciate at least one meal a day! (Momma feeds them the same Friskies dry food that she gives her indoor cats)
I am happy for Momma, as she misses me very much, and hopes that I am happy, wherever I am...

Brrrr!
It was a "Dark & Stormy Night..." the night that Momma Carol first saw me; I heard and smelled other kitties in her home, and she seemed to be a very nice lady, so I went right up to her, and rubbed her leg, and let her pet me.
She fed me outside, for several days, I was there every morning and evening, but these wild dogs kept chasing me away from the food dish, so Momma Carol started feeding me up on top of her car, where the dogs and raccoons could not get to my dish.
I stayed in her home for several months, and then one day, when the weather started being nicer, I saw one of my old "feral" buddies wandering through the yard, so I sort of let Momma Carol "know" that I wanted to go back "outside"...she let me out, because I started "grumbling" at the other indoor kitties a lot. (I was not very happy, and I missed my friends...)

****UPDATE***

Cinder brought his little feral buddies "home for Lunch", for several weeks, there were always at least one "other" kitty with him. But recently, I have not seen him around; I need to drive over to the next neighborhood (behind ours) and see if the feral Cats have someplace that they "hang-out"...I hope he is OK, he is such a sweet Kitty, and although he is neutered, he was apparently dumped-off here. He seems to get along with the feral Toms quite well; they did not try to fight with him, in any way...

Please, Little Cinder, let me know that you are OK??? Stop by and see me, please???

He was wearing a pink collar with my phone number written on it. Every day, I get a news e-mail from the Riverside County (Ca) animal Shelter, where I have posted a "lost" notice for him...
