Arrival Story:
We adopted her the same day we adopted Sylph. I hadn't had a kitty for about 6 years and had been begging the Dark Overlord for one (boyfriend). Found Sylph with a rescue and went to meet her. Manxi just walked up to him. Started playing with him. He was bamboozled!

She's more DSH, but has a shortened tail. You can feel a hook at the end of it. She has high hind lefgs, but looks more like a DSH.

One Giant Leap For Kitty-Kind

I am not what you would call a risks takers. I like my routine of watching birdietv, my noms, and the nightly laser ezercise. Duddy plays footsies with me and it's a fantastic life!

Today, I took a risk. And I survived!

In the Pride Room (this is where we all gather to sleepies), Mummy and Duddy have this huge thing that holds books and their fur. It's very pretty, and it's a great nail sharpener. Well, it's very very high. Me and Sylph can't seem to get to the top by ourselves. Mainly because the books falls over and scares the bejesus out of us.

So every one and a while, Mummy and Duddy will pick us up and allow us to hang out on the top. It's not often this happens. But it's happened a total of 3 times in my long 1 year life. We usually start crying because we can't get down. The books are in the way and it's so high, we's afraid we'd hurt our kitty feet. Sylph does the same thing too, so I know's I not crazy.

Today, Mummy puts me up there. And then she lays down on the bed.

"Mummy, I'm ready, bring me down."
No response.
"Mummy, really, ready now, lemme down."
"Come on honey, you can do it."
"Do what? I waits here for you to helps me down."
"Come on honey!" (pats on the bed) "You can do it!"
"Mummy, it's really high up here, and I hurts myselfs."
(pats on the bed) "You can do it!"

Maybe I can jumps into those bed of clothes she won't wash. It's still really high though, so I's don't.
(pats on the bed) "You can do it!"

Maybe I can make the books move and walk my ways down.
"Sylph, can yous helps me?"

"Ask Mummy - she has thums."

"Comeon baby girl!" She is patting feverishly now. Maybe she's right - the bed is the only option.

I feels my little kitty throat tighten and my tummy twirl. What ifs I do hurts myself? I debate the whole things for like 1 minute in hooman time (2 hours in kitty time).

Alright, she's obviously not gonna helps. Here I goes!

AND THEN I JUMPED!!! Yea, like in the airs, like one of them flying squirrels! I was headed straight for Mummy. I landed on the bed, jumped once and then quickly jumped off the bed. OMG - it was so fun!!!

Now, i no nos if I takes more risks, but that was quite fun.

I have found a new toy that I likes. It's called a ribbon. It's white, it's light, it's think and it's long. My favorite thing about this toy is that I can play with Sylph without humans.

I holds the ribbon in my mouth on one end. Then I walk with it, dragging the rest of it. Sylph tries to take it away, but she can't. I walk with the ribbon in my mouth, with my head high and tail higher. I walk gingerly so I don't step on the ribbon. I love draggings it. I completely control the ribbon.

Last night, when everyone was in bed, I wanted to play with the ribbon. I chirped and cooed as Sylph and I played with it. Mums came out and said we looked like we were playing the cutest game of "Tug O War" she has ever seen.
