Mom was just wondering if she was the only one. She sometimes hates feeling helpless when it comes to animals. Wishes she couldn't feel their fear, their pain. Mom just asked a friend why God had to make her this way. Why? Are we appointed guardians? Why do I care so much? Why can't I stop worrying about that baby sitting outside in the cold, terrorified. The poor baby tried climbing the wall literally when she seen Mom. Mom is so worried but she knows all she can do is purr.
Please everyone purr for the little tabby with amber eyes that she finds her way home or a home safely.
Do you ever wonder why we feel their pain?
Mom feels the same way.
Rose, Mom would love to catch the baby but she's afraid she would scare it out in the road. And there is some jerks that mom works with that she's worried about too.
The little tabby looks like Teddy Bearz but with Amber eyes. She also looks like she's young like 6 to a year old kind of young.
Purrs fur dat lil Tabby kitty~! We know, 'n mom can feel it too. She does feel helpless so much of the time. Maybe mom sez, dat her knowz WE are helpless. We need guardians and fur persons to take care of us, to make sure we are healthy. It's a cruel world out dere. Maybe eventually U can befriend her 'n her will come closer to U, dat is what we purray fur now.
Purrs 'n lotza love,
Can your mom rent a humane trap? And get the little one? Or call a local rescue to ahve someone help her?
Definitely see if this is a group in your area that traps and spay/neuters ferals. We have a few in our town. They loan out the traps and have lots of good advice, see if you can catch the little one. We know how you feel. Mommy worries about Little one and Mr Big out there. She's fattened them up nicely so they look like kitties again, now it's time to try and catch them.
The other night driving to the grocery store mommy and daddy passed what looked like a black kitty that had been hit in the middle of the road, mommy screamed to stop the car. She was so afraid it was Girlfriend because it was right near our home. Luckily, it was NOT an animal (just a jacket doing a really good impression in the dark) but she was so worried. It's hard to worry this much. Very hard. But you do good because of all that love, and you tell your mommy Zoe, because of all that love, you, Zach, and Gris are the luckiest kitties in the world (Doggy is pretty lucky too!) because you get all that love and devotion and she's made a HUGE difference in your lives. That's more than anyone could ask for from your mommy, it might not feel very spectacular, but it is. Loving your fur babies with all your heart is!
Our meowmie has leaky eyes and sobbing when she hears about animals in pain - stories, movies, even ads on tv. She has yelled at people who are hurting animals. She says its because we are made of the same stuff -- like we all have tissue and muscles and nerves and yes, hearts - not just the beating ones but the feeling ones.
We will purr for the little tabby and hope she is well.
Purrs to you and yours too,
Bibi, Our Mom can't even stand watching some kiddie movies when it evolves animals. She seen Bambi for the first time since childhood and said it was a horrible movie.
River, you are right. We are all very lucky to have such loving parents. How many kitties out there can honestly say their parents would put themselves in harms way to save our lives. I know all of us on this page can. Mom actually knew a man who lost his life trying to save his doggie from a fire. Lots of people said he was stupid...Mom says he was her hero.
Know about the little tabby. She did eventually moved on. Mom is going to take some wet foodies with her tomorrow. Mom tried to feeding her today but she was too scared. We have caught several kitties and a few dogs through out the years by befriending them. Before the rescission we could even find coworkers that would take them home. I guess the difference in those times and this time was because the kitty was so scared. It hurt Mommies heart.
Did we ever tell you about Meha, she was a stray at work that Mom brought home. You can see her picture on our rainbow page. She lived with us for years till she died of old age.
Our Mama feels the same way, Zoe. She cannot watch anything on TV or on the Internet that shows animals suffering, it just tears her heart out. Purrs for the poor little tabby.
Your mom is in good company here. I think we all have that soft spot in our hearts. I think God puts people like your Mom and so many others here to make sure that the underdogs (and undercats) of the world stand a chance. Purrs for that little sweetie.
Purring for that tabby. My momma had a similar experience a few years ago - she heard this kitty outside. This was when she lived in Boston and it was during the winter - the poor thing must have been freezing. Her dog was getting all upset, she likes kitties and doesn't like when they are upset. Momma went out to try to find the kitty, but it was scared and wouldn't come near her. All she could do was hope it would be ok.
Zoe give your mommy a bunch of kitty kisses and headbutts from us and mommy.Mommy helps a feral colony outside our house and at times it breaks her heart. Sometimes when one don't come back mommy has to cry, but knows the cats are at the bridge waiting. People are on this earth to help and love each other. Human and animal. Keep on going and do the best you can.
wow We just found this diary and mom has leaky eyes, she is the same way and feeels pain and fear from the sweet helpless little ones she sees alone. I was one of them kitties living on my own and I was happy when she and her sister saved me from the streets. There is a scared kitty at the school were mom walks we think someone feeds it and there is a torn hole at the bottom in the back of one of the buildings were it sleeps and hides, mom hurts for it and wants to bring all the kitties home and in out of cruel outside world. Let me say I am one of may kitties that are so grateful for the humans that care about our lives.
