Things are starting to settle down around here. Yesterday was Grandma's Bday and we are all so exhausted we decided to just talk on the phone instead of doing anything exciting. We have the memorial today and then they can get back to normal for good.
We have a new family portrait! I'm not crazy about it but Mom loves it. She says we were being the typical unruly kids that wouldn't sit still for the camera. Except for Mr. Purrfect.
We had a visitor yesterday! Miss Mariette, Gris's foster Mom till he found a home. I sat on her lap all afternoon. She played with Diamond as usual. Loved on Zach and kept calling him Bubba cause he reminds her of a kitty named that.
We had such a great day! There was even snow flurries for a minute or two. Not exactly what we wanted but so far it's the only snow we've seen this season, Mom says without snow the cold is just not worth it. Turns out Mom is having Jet ski and camping DTs. She said she's beyond ready to play. She has made plans to take the camper to the lake in a few weeks and have all the family out for a cookout. She figures that would be nice considering all the trauma of this week. Too bad the boat isn't ready.
The camper on the lake with family sounds like the purrrfect plan, I know your mom is ready for some good times. Yesterday did sound like a nice day, bet the snow flurries was cool to see we do not get snow here.
Love the photo, MOL mom tried last night to get just three of us in the photo at one time but we did not coporate either.
I hope your mom gets to play at the lake soon. There won't be any lake time in this area for quite awhile since they're all frozen!
Samhain, you could drag out the ice skates! We would.
With all these mandated Saturdays at Mom's work, she's just not sure when they can all meet at the lake. Mom said she needs to look at the calender at work. Who knows but hopefully soon.
Our lakes and ponds never really froze over good around here. No ice skating this year, although Mom really hasn't done that in a few years anyway! I like your family picture.
Skylar, Mom really thanks the picture is the best. Mom used to go ice skating up at the Gatlinburg Ski Lodge and there used to be believe it or not an ice skating rink in a mall here back when Mom was a kid.
Funny Mom as felt safe on ice skates but not roller blades.
Mol, that definitely is a good representation of a playful family it cats.
Sounds exciting to see Gris' foster Mom again, lots of stories to share I am sure.
As far as snow goes, we only had one snow storm otherwise its been all rain!! Mom likes snow and wishes the rain would just go away...
