I have a scar. Yes, cute little me.
It started when I commented on one of Teddys new pictures about how big his eyes is. He sent me a note stating he wanted to see my pretty face and eyes.I told him I have a scared lip from a Rodent Ulcer that never healed properly and I'm a little shy in front of the camera because of it. He told me not to be afraid, that some of the most beautiful kitties he knows have imperfections. I asked Mom what she thought and Mom reminded me that the runways for the last two years have been walked by women with "character building oddities." Mom says it makes you stand out from the other beautiful girl cats. She also said that she doesn't think it's that bad. I decided to not be afraid, so I had Mom take these pics today. Here I am world! (it's my left lip at my nose)
here's a close up of the scar
Doc had given me Allergy shots. And Mommy had me taking pills for my itches but the ulcer just didn't heal. Mom knew this ulcer would be a problem when it just got worst as I was taking the Meds. Doc said give the Meds sometime to work. They did on the scratchies and hives but not on the ulcer. While thinking about what Teddy said I decided to do a diary about allergies. Maybe, there's something in here to help you.
this is a pic from a distance
What is a Rodent Ulcer?
Allergies in Cats: Symptoms and Triggers
I have several allergies fleas, dust, pollen and Mom suspects mold. My allergies has gotten worse sense we moved in our new home a couple years ago. The house was built in the 30's. Zachs allergies to plastic has been manageable by not having plastic bowls or toys.
Mom is going to talk to Doc about trying Zrytec for my allergies.
This is a report about Zyrtec for cats that Lisa found for her IBD Newsletter Thank You Lisa for keeping us informed.
I hope you guys find something useful in my diary.

Oh Milo, My Texan, Thank You. You sure know how to make a girl feel special. I try to be kind to everyone and respect their differences. I'm even nice to Zach most of the time.
I've so lucky to have a special friend like you.
Thanks again Teddy, for being so good to me and my bro.
Oh Zoe, I haven't noticed any scars on you! I think you're adorable the way you are. You're you ~ the one and only Zoe. Do not be worrying about your rodent ulcer scar (Mom always thought that is such a weird name for that, there is another name for those). My bro gets feline acne sometimes and I think he has a faint scar on his white fur, and it's not a biggie. You're a sweetie and cutie, and we want your face. Thanks for the links and info!
Oh my cat!! I meant to say "we want to see your face" NOT "we want your face!" Now that is something to be embarrassed about. Geez.
Can I pronounce the other name?
I've got the itchies right now, Mom thinks it's because she left the windows open to air out the house. She told me she's sorry. We do keep extra pills here, just in case and unless it's really bad, Mom can just go and pick up my pills from the vet. Mom said she wished she could do that at her Docs. Last time she was getting a sinus infection, she called and begged them to just call it in, cause her Doc is in another city........ the answer NO, it's always NO!
Baby girl did you mean "in your face"? Haa Haa! I knew what you meant. Mom does that all the time.
Zoe you have a beautiful face.
Callie, you have a very beautiful face too.
Your pics are beautiful! I never noticed the scar before. I just went to the vet last week because I am always itchy and have scabs on my back and neck. The doc says I have miliary dermetitis and started me on a small dose of steroids to see if it clears up. Mom is trying to figure out what I may be allergic to. She is going to check out the links you posted. Thanks for all the info, pretty girl! Purrs, Ivan
Oh Girl...you look fabulous! Don't be shy. We know you are beautiful on the inside...show us the beautiful outside too!
You're so welcome sweetie and you are SOOOO SOOO SOOO beautiful! don't you ever think you're not! You are a gorgeous, sweet and loving little girl who is the light of your mommy's life and who we are blessed to have as our friend.
btw, I just went to that site for the zyrtec for cats and it says it's down due to technical problems. I'm sure they're working on it.
Plus I happen to know several male kitties here that think you are DA BOMB girl!
Your photos are pawsome and we don't see a thing wrong. Keep smiling and purring up a storm! Hope those itchies go away very soon too!
Hugs and purrs,
Simon & Reuben(an angel)
Maedia, stop your going to make me cry. I love you girl.
And for your brother, figuring it out is difficult but it really could be something as simple as one flea riding in on a family member. Can you imagine one flea bite can set the itches off. There's some great info here. Like I said Mom is going to talk to Doc about the Zyrtec when I go get my shots next month. I'll let you know what he says.
Zoey when that site comes back up, have your mommy print that information out and take it with you to the vet's so he believes you! Just in case.
We also looked & looked and thought we'd see a scar! It is not noticeable. After a LOT of scrutiny Mom detects a slight difference in size in the sides of you upper lips, that's all.
Mom just thinks kitties are the most gorgeous creatures God ever made. In fact, she always tells Him that. "God, you sure were having a good day the day you made cats!!" MOL - I never know if she's talking to God or herself! Or me!
You are a gorgeous girl, Zoe! Luv, Tink
Oh Mom's going to take him a copy. We have found some other websites discussing the use of Zrytec. I forgot to mention the swollen Lymph Nodes I get in my diary. Anyway, if Zrytec cuts down on my itchie breakouts than good.
Tink, that's it. I get them on both lips. Whats crazy is this one Ulcer in particular, was so small the Doc didn't even see it till the end of the exam and Mom hadn't seen it either. But it just kept getting worse while I was taking my meds. Usually they will go away in a couple days.
Tink Hart that is so furry true Mom thinks so to. Oh Zoe girlfriend I had no ideal you were so concerned about that silly beauty mark...err oh I mean scar. You just look so lovely I wish I could make pictures like that. Cheek and nose rubs.
See Zoe? I was right. And I am so glad that you took my advice.
I like what Callie said, you have a small beauty mark :)
Keep taking pictures,my lovely friend. (Best ones are in natural light or sun!)
Also I am wondering~ would air purifiers help you?
Love and bonks,
You are one beautiful girl! Allergies are no fun. One of my dog pals has them and has to get shots too. I'm just glad it isn't me - it doesn't look like fun.
Teddy, Callie is gonna say nice things like that cause she's my bff. Did you know that?
We have an air purifier in the bedroom but Mom needs to get a nicer bigger one. Grandma and Grandpa has the mack daddy air purifiers at their house and it is so nice and easy to clean. We have one spot in the guest bathroom where you can tell there is water damage at the edge of the shower. Mom wants to get in that wall and get rid of all the icky stuff cause that's bad for all of us.
Thanks again, to all of you!
No Zoe, I didn't know Callie is your BFF.
Is Jezebel your BFF too? MOL
I really and truly think you are beautiful, inside and out and I am not the only one. So get used it.
Don't forget, ask mom for pics in natural light; preferably with the sun dappling you :)
You are a very purrty kitty, your scar just makes you even more purrty.
To Teddy's Mom from Zoe's Mom- She is very difficult to photograph her. One she doesn't sit in the sun that often and when she does, if you get down on her level then she'll get up and start headbutting the camera. She's what I call a hand chaser.
She is a very sweet kitty.
Hey my beautiful BFF so glad your mom is working on getting some meds for you. I am also furry glad you can see how everyfurr thinks you are beautiful and it really does look like you have a beauty mark. Mom is thinking about getting an air purifier for booboo she deals with noisy breathing.
