Okay I know I know our northern friends are way colder than us BUT Brrrrrrrrrrr deep breath Brrrrrrrrrr! I'm freezing my backside, behind, booty, bottom, bum, buns, butt, caboose, can, cheeks, derriere (or derrière), duff, fanny, fundament, hams, haunches, hunkers, keister, nates, posterior, rear, rump, seat, tail, tail end, tush whatever you prefer calling it.... mine is freezing. It's 28 degrees right now! I told Mom jack up the thermostat or else! Oh and it's supposed to snow again tomorrow around noon. Gris is psyched about that for sure.
We know that feeling. Right now it is 11 outside with a wind chill of -4. The heat keeps coming up, but man it is cold! I'm freezing my whoopie cakes off! Mom has a delay again tomorrow and doesn't have to go in till 10AM. Mom's workplace follows the school district and when there is a school delay or closing they go in late. Our "feels like" is 19 degrees, that was an hour ago. That's crazy cold for you guys and us! I'm putting my sweater back on. Mom says they are saying we are getting a few hours of ice after the snow so she's hoping they will cancel Saturdays work. She loves her 8 hours of overtime but she also loves sleeping in and having a real breakfast. Love it whoopie cakes!~ Haven't heard of that one before. Wow, that is cold for you southerners! We do that too on snow days, sleep in a little and make a big breakfast. We are supposed to get a couple of inches of snow too tomorrow afternoon. What ever happened to that saying "too cold to snow"? Skyster - had to go see where you live - we're only a little colder than you right now. It's 9 degrees at the moment; it didn't get higher than 12 today, but the good news is it's not supposed to get any colder tonight. Zach - Sleep wanted to tell you how cute you are in your sweater... (hehehe) Tell her thanks! yes this is cold for us. Right now I stealing heat from Mom. I will tell you this, Gris likes hanging with Mom usually but tonight he's been chilling in the master bedroom by himself....it's the warmest room in the house Samhain, we just looked at where you live...do you get that "lake effect snow"? It is not usually this cold, for this many days here! whoa! dude! you are getting a real northern winter! we got spring time temps here it got up to 70! It's was in the 70s here! Yep us Texans haz been havin' really mild temps ina 60's 'n 70's..we'll send some o' dat up Ur way 'n some sunshine to warm dem beef cakes o' Urz~! MOL! Hope Gris enjoys da snow~! Skymeister - yeah, some of the lake effect snow, but where our home is seems to be a belt that gets somewhat less than, say, 10 miles to the south of us where our shop is. Lots of microclimates in MI apparently. We're Zone 5 for gardening where we are, but Grand Rapids (hour south) where they get lots of lake effect has spots in it where it's more like Z. 6 and Houghton Lake (hour north) is more like Z. 4! Yall down there in TX, quit yur braggin'! :) Okay, so! It was suppsoed to start sowing around 12 but instead we got sleet around 9:30 this morning. Long story short Mom is home early. She says she's going to cook some comfort food, clean (cause she's always cleaning thanks to us) and work on our pages. We all need new music and Zoe, Gris and Diamond still have their Christmas pages up. 17 days 11 hours 38 min 45 no 44 no 43 geez can't keep up with the seconds. MOL! Lets get ready to Party!!!!! Snack pack you get on my right arm, Skit on my left and Sleep can tag along behind me.... Try to stay warm. We were below zero earlier in the week, but it's snowing now, so we're in the teens. Time to curl up on Mom's sherpa blanket while she's at work! Yeah, Rose our "feels like" stayed in the upper teens and boy that was cold for us! Mom is not looking forward to the power bill at all. Sure you guys are used to high to those kind of bills wither you like it or not! They said a warm layer of air kept us from getting the snow and instead we got the six hours of sleet. we haven't hit 20 for a high since monday!!! wed nite was a whole 1 !!!! snowed wed nite, 2 in, and 4 today, still never broke 20. too cold for even Panda to hiss!! Blizz that's real bad!! We had a cold snap today. Da high was only like 59 or something. MOL! And Samhain, Texans quit bragging?? Dat would be like telling a fish to stop swimming. MOL! Coooooold here too. Our cheapskate Mom keeps the heat at 66. I was having to fight the fursibs for my heated bed! But there's always the radiator.... Zach when the really hot heat comes back I'll send you some express post. Our weather has been warm lately but not really hot. Stay warm mate. Charlie, we love that about Texans. Big attitude! Casper, Mom was holding out but she broke down and turned the heat up today. She was seriously freezing no matter what she did. Ka-Zar, sending it on! You'll love this: last night the Mama was cleaning some boxes out of the upstairs, throwing them over the balcony to pick up later, and accidentally locked herself out of the house! It was embarrassing: she's standing out on the snowy balcony for 15 minutes waiting for the Papa to get back and let her back in the house - MOL!!!!! Fortunately, she had her coat, gloves and boats on, but she sure wished she'd put that extra shirt on under the coat! Oh, and it was about 12 degrees out there... OMG! Your poor Momma. Good thing your Dad came straight home. Oh Mama must have been cold! Brrrrrr!! Sky, have you guys found the red ball yet? No, not yet. Still searching |
