Diary Pick Today

Good lovely morning fellow Catsters!

Lovely, is exactly how this morning it is. I woke up with sun shining bright threw the orchid plants leaves. Which left little sun spots on the floor, which were purrfect for me to sun-bathe in. Then, after a nice little session of bathing, Mama gave me some nummy treats. Although it wasn't FF or Tuna, it was only 9 lives, but it was the Seafood platter. So, I thought it was pretty tasty. I have seen the new Friskies Plus canned cat food commercial...it looks pretty yummy. Mom said though that it's not the greatest canned cat food, so if I try it...I am not allowed to have it often :(. Oh, well at least I get to try it once. That's what counts right? Gotta try everything at least once in life. Have any of you tried it, did you like it?

After, I had my num num's. I came on to Catster, and found out I was Diary Pick of the Day! I had a lovely Paw Mail from Angel Buddie Always Loved, with a nice little tune in it for me! Thank you Buddie, for the paw mail! It brightened up my day!

Now, I know some of you are wondering. Where is little Maddie? Well, Mama called the animal shelter and they said that she was available but another family applied for her right after us, that has a little girl who wanted her as her first pet. So, Mama thought Maddie would like a home with a little girl a lot better. So, Mama let the other family get her. It seems like every adoption is falling threw the roof :(. Mama is a little upset, but she is living on my love as I am always her number one!

Back to the food topic...I am liking my new Chicken Soup Cat Food. I am half way done with my first bag...seems like Sylvester isn't caring for his though. Don't see why it is delicious...but Nooo instead he wants that icky TOTW stuff. I absolutely refuse to eat that stuff!

New Addition to the fur family...

Good Morning Fellow Friends,

Just when we thought Mama was done with the idea of adopting a new animal. WELL! mom had something up her sleeve..mol.

Mama was telling Daddy, that an animal shelter got a hold of her. An began to tell her all about this lovely little girl Maddy, whom has been at the shelter since March of this year. They explained how she really needs a loving and caring home, that we exercise and socialize her adequately. So, of-course Mom went to her Petfinder profile page, and fell in love with her. Mama said she is the most adorable little creature she has seen, besides me of-course! Right Ma?

Mom immediately filled out an adoption application, and the woman from the shelter e-mail Mama back almost instantaneously, and said that mom was approved. That we sound like an extraordinary family for this little girl.
So, now Mama was hoping to get her today...but it may be pushed off until this Saturday. It is unknown yet.

Mother's Day

Good Morning fellow Catster's!

It has been quite some time since I have wrote a nice diary entry. I figured though that it'd be a good time to since, well I have tons to write about now. Some good, and some not so good.

First and foremost, I shall start of with the most recent holiday. Which was Mother's Day, it really is a spectacular day indeed. It is a day to celebrate out most beloved mothers, who supply us with a multitude of love and unconditional treats and toys. Okay, okay so they just plan spoil us, but that is why we love them so dearly.

For mothers day, mom really didn't do anything to special. She actually was scheduled to work from 8am-CL which is 9pm. So, she spent the entire day, honoring other people...poor Mama. When, she got home though Daddy and I, had a special thing planned out for her. We had candles all over, and good smelly bouquets of roses. The best part of all, we had Animal Planet on for her to watch..MOL. We also had Mom's fish fillet specialty. Mom takes yummy fish fillets, which were Sun Fish, the best kind! Then, she soaked them in lemon juice with poppy seed. After, that she takes French's French Fried Onions, and crushes them up and uses that as a breading for the fillets. Last but not least she bakes them...Mmmm...they are so delicious!
So, other than work, it was rather quite lovely.


Now, on a different note. I am not sure if any, of you lovely Catster's heard from Dogster. But Mama and Papa, did a dog rescue, and we had two dogs in the house for a week. This is how the rescue went about...
Mama and Papa, were on their way back from work, and they seen a emaciated stray dog that was hanging around a local bar. She was there for 2 days, without any sign of the owners looking for her or coming around. So, Mama decided it was time to go forth with rescuing her. The first attempt that Mama and Papa did, the dog ended up darting across the road, and was a foot away from being hit by a car! They came back the next day, and decided to give it one more try, luckily the dog was sleeping and Mama through a turkey hot dog, and the dog woke up and ate it. Then, the dog got scared and ran behind the bar, where Mama cornered her. Once, Mama found out that she was not aggressive, just pure scared. Mama looped a leash around her neck, then the find out she couldn't walk well, so Mama picked her and carried her to the car, and brought her home to us!
She was very timid, and could hardly walk. Mama and Papa, pulled over 600 wood ticks off of her, and even after that she had ticks crawling out of her fur. So, Mama immediately gave her a bathe for two reasons.
#1-Because Mama HATES wood ticks.
#2-Angel already has lymes, so Mama did not want her to have a flare up again.
#3-Because Mama felt bad for the little girl.

Mama gave the dog a name, which was Ariel. Unfortunately, though Mama made the decision not to keep her, as Mama said that we just cannot afford another dog at this point and time, nor does Mama have the time to commit to two dogs. Mama went through a 15lb bag of dog food, in less then a week! It was very sad when Mama brought Ariel to the shelter though, she said that when Lucus, the guy that Mama and Papa work with there, when he was taking her away, Ariel kept trying to pull and run back to Mama. Just goes to show Mama is great to us animals.

That being said comes back to the adoption process with the little Rat. Well, Mama was in the process of adopting, and the little Potter got sick. So, Mama backed out, as Rats are not known for living past 3 yrs and Potter is 3. Being that did not turn out, Mama is contemplating whether or not we will look any farther into getting another pet. If we do, her and Papa want a rodent of some sort...Mama likes guinea pigs and says there is a long-haired one at the local pet store that is utterly adorable.

So, as you can see lots has been going on recently. I sure hope everything is going well for you guys!

I think Mama has gotten ill! Mol

Good Morning lovely Catsters!

Now, don't you go off worrying about my Mama she is not actually "ill", but she sure has some weird behaviors lately! First, she gets a mouse, a teeny-tiny mouse out of all creatures. Although, I have grown rather found of him, he quite cute. Mama is so proud of me, because I am the only one of the fur-family who does not try to eat him!

In-fact when he was out in his exercise pen, the other day. I sat right by him contently purring and sun bathing. He actually tried to make a nest in my belly fur, it tickled quite a bit so I had to get up a move.

Once again, while Mama and Papa were watching animal planet. During commercial time, Mama was talking with Papa about how...(Here is where her ill part takes place). About how there is, in her terms, adorable fat little rat up for adoption in a neighboring animal shelter, that she had heard about through her co-workers.

See, her co-workers know that Mama is an animal nutt. Whether big or small, what people consider atrocious and creepy, or fluffy or cuddly. Mama loves all animals, that is why she is going back to college for Veterinary Technology....Speaking of that Mama has her college interview tomorrow down at Argosy, Papa is going with her, just to see if it catches any interest for him.

Anyway, so her co-workers told her all about "Potter", that's the rats name. Mama doesn't like the name, but she thinks he is adorable. She described him like this to Papa " He is so cute, he has a little chubby belly, he has a white body, then it looks like his head and ears were dipped in Hershey chocolate." So Mama e-mail the animal shelter, and inquired about him. Which by the way was the same shelter Mama got Angel and Sylvester from. She keeps checking her e-mail like every 3 mins, to see if they replied back. I am LUCKY I got on here to write a diary entry! Yeesh!!

Are any of you Meomas, as crazy as mine? Or is my Mama just ill?!?

Now, on a more serious note. Mama put Sylvester, and I on a new cat food. She put us on Chicken Soup Cat Food, then to find out this morning from our good friend Miss Puff. That they just had a recall on Chicken Soup Dog Food products. Luckily, it is only the dog food products though. As Mama said something along the lines that she is about tapped well dry for money on pet foods. As she just bought a bag of Purina Beyond for us kitties, as Walmart didn't have my Iams. She wanted to get us off that quickly, as it is bad for us I guess.. Anyway, Angel is still on that nasty Taste of the Wild stuff...Ugh I will never eat a drop of that in my life! If Mama even tries to mix it in with my food, I won't even eat the other food!
But this new stuff tastes pretty good. I looovee my CHICKEN-ness. Chicken is my favorite thing to eat actually so naturally I like Chicken Soup. Mama even bought me a can of the wet chicken soup cat food. It was mighty delicious! The only thing Mama was concerned about was the Spinach in the chicken soup, but it is very far down on the ingredient list, so Mama isn't as worried.

A Cat Person or A Dog Person?

Good Morning Lovely Fur-Friends!

So, I over-heard Mama and Papa pondering the question of whether they are a dog person or a cat person? I personally was about to give Mama a pinch, because obviously she loves me most! So, whilst they were engaged in this conversation. They made a list of Pro's and Cons of Cats and Dogs...how on earth they came up with cons for us cats, is a mystery to me! Anyway, so here is the list they came up with!

Fabulous Felines!

Pros's - Con's
-Calm Energy, even when -Quite destructive as kittens!
hyper. Still give it off
in a calm matter. -More Sensitive digestion tract then
dogs. (From personal Experience.
-Affectionate, give off a
more soothing/calm affection -More commonly get UTI, URI, and Gum
then dogs. disease so I have seen.

-Smaller and quieter. Even - Fluffy cat hair is horrible
when they do MEOW its not as compared to dog hair. More
annoying as a SHARP bark. noticeable on clothing.

Mama came to the conclusion she does like cats and dogs equally. But I am still her number one!

Oh, the Animal Love..

Good Morning fellow Catster's,

So, the morning started out lovely. Nice and sunny, but now Mama was telling me that big deep blue/indigo clouds are rolling in, and spreading across the sky like the ocean waves do a nice white sandy beach. I sure hope it's not a bad storm as, I turn into a nervous nelly when those thunder booms sound off! Usually, I hide underneath the covers with Mama, and I follow her every-where.

Before I forget, I would like to say I sure hope everyone had a lovely Easter day. I know I did, Mama made a nice big ham, Garlic potatoes with Country gravy and croissants. Broccoli and Cauliflower with Velveeta cheese over them. Then for desert she made Lemon Meringue Pie and Coconut Cream pie. I got into trouble though, not too harsh of trouble, as Mama does not get mean with me. What happened was Mama was cover the delicious ham, and putting it all on a platter. I couldn't resist the temptation, so I was pulling chunks of ham of behind Mamas back, but when I got to my second piece she turned around just as I was pulling it off the plate! Stupid ham, it didn't cooperate with me! Its the ham's fault, I swear! Afterwards, Mama let me have a little lick of Coconut cream. It was pretty yummy and very creamy :)

Other than the Easter ordeal. A lot has been going on here actually. Mama and Papa have decided that they are gonna go back to college. Mama actually has set up a College Tour down at Argosy! She is excited to the animals there, and the Vet Tech program. Daddy is going for Culinary arts, sorry daddy but no ones cooking is better than Mamas...except perhaps Chef Ramsey's?

Mama and Papa are still looking hard for a place to rent. Its hard because many places do not allow dogs :( even us kitties. But Mama said that she can easily sneak Sylvester and I into a house, Angel on the other hand has a big mouth so I highly doubt that is possible. They found one place, but they would need to come up with like $1,000 in a month. Mama said "Yea, like that'll happen".

Now, on a different topic. Mama and I were watching animal planet the other day. I thought it was interesting to see on a show, that they referred us cats, to have dog like behavior and dogs to have cat like behavior! Isn't that absurd? What I mean by this is, they were saying us Majestic and Beautiful Ragdoll's, like myself and Maine Coons like my fur brother act more dog than we do cat. Simply because we love our humans, and follow them everywhere! Eesh, I never knew love could make people assume you are a dirty dog! Then, to top it off the were saying a smelly dog like a Shiba Inu and a Basenji acted like us ROYAL cats, because they keep themselves so clean! Now, let me tell you, no dog is like a cat, and no cat is like a dog in my mind...who'd want to be like a dog! Crazy humans...

I do have to say the dog that Mom has a fetish with at the moment is rather cute though. She is currently obsessing over French Bulldogs, with those wrinkly faces and bat ears. I suppose I can understand why :)

Good Mid-Morning all my fellow Catster's.

So, even though it is a gloomy day, we have pretty high spirits over here. All morning Mama and Papa have been talking about the big move in August. Mama is getting really excited, she said it'll be nice for us fur-babies to be living in a house, rather than in a trailer house. She said she hopes there is a big back yard, so that my fur-sister Angel can run around in. Mama was getting a bit frustrated though, because I guess it's hard finding a house that allows pets, let alone pit bulls. Mama is hoping that she can pass angel off as a lab mix, or at least a mix that is allowable. What do you guys think?

Mama made it VERY clear to daddy, that Angel will absolutely not be going into a shelter.She said when she takes an animal in, she makes a commitment to them for life. Kinda like "death due us part" right Mama?..he-he

With the last thing I just said. I have a pretty good feeling that Mama and Papa may be having "the date" set soon. As I heard Mama telling Daddy about her "dream" night. From what I hear Mama wants a nice summer wedding, at night fall. She wants candles lighting the isle in which she walks down. Then she wants Tiki hutches at the end of the isle. With a big white arch (or gazebo if that's is around) lined with beautiful orchids, freesia, and red roses. Maybe some icicle lights too. An she says she wants the wedding by a lake, or at least a body of water. Get this! This is the best part, she wants us fur-babies to be in the wedding! Not Stewart of-course, he will just have to watch from his cage.

I sure hope Mama doesn't find out I told you guys about it! Oh well, she should understand my excitement if she does!

Other than all those big plans! Yesterday, Mama was clearing out the flower beds. She said she is gonna plant all sorts of flowers this year. My Mama is a sucker for any living thing you see! I love the gardens Mama plants, my favorite flowers to smell are the Iris flowers. So my saying is not "Take time to smell the roses" it is "Take time to smell the Iris's" even though Mama does plant roses too! Daddy bought Mama a pretty pink rose bush, that gets HUGE roses on it! It smells pretty good too!

I told Mama now that spring is here, that I want some new pictures! As I have a lot of old ones still on here. Speaking of pictures, I now have one of Stewart! I will post it on here pronto! He is sleeping! He is adorable.

Easter is Almost here!

So, I woke up this morning to a CRASH, BOOM, BAM! No, I am not talking about the song "R.O.C.K in the USA", nope sure enough it was storming quite early this morning. It sure was scary! The whole outside was lit up, and the thunder was mighty rumbley this morning. I am not gonna lie, I get a bit nervous during thunder storms, so I snuggled up close to Mama. While my nutt case brother Sylvester, was looking nonchalantly out the window. Angel was hiding underneath the bed. An poor little Stewart, whose cage is next to the window, hid in his Timber Tent.

After, the storm I couldn't help think to my self, how crazy weathers attitude is. One minuet the weather is in a happy, bright sunny mood, then the next minuet its all crabby and having what my Mama calls a hissy fit.

Anyway, other than the weathers mood. I just became aware that Easter is coming soon! I absolutely love eater! Mama makes a great big Ham dinner, which she always gives me some morsels of. It is quite delicious. Then, all of the beautiful colors, of all the eggs. Yes, my Mama still does color eggs. She says even though she is an adult, egg coloring, is what makes Easter, Easter! The only thing, I seen Mama looking at bunny costumes, and I thought they were cute and all, but my luck it's for me! Mama said that I'd make an adorable bunny. Oy...Moms I tell ya.

Other than the Easter topic. Mama, Papa, and I were watching Mama's favorite movie/book. The Tale of Despereaux. What a great movie! That little brave, and noble gentleman (the mouse Despereaux). I think Stewart liked it too, as there are not many mouse movies. Note: Stewart got his name from Stewart Little! As he is little, cute and white! I suggest everyone watches this movie. Even though I am a cat. I loved it!

So, now my new favorite movies are The Tale of Despereaux and I am Legend. What are your guys favorite movies?

OH Geez....really...a mouse?

Good Morning to All!

I sure hope you guys all had a great St.Patty's day. I know I sure did! On St.Patty's day, Mama dressed all up in green, and even let me wear a green bandanna, that had little shamrocks on it. I felt quite special! Then, Mama gave me some nom noms, she let me try a new kind actually. It was Liver and Bacon flavor...Yummmm Yummm! Mama was telling daddy how at work, they even had Green beer AND green DJ lights! How cool is that?

After, Mama got home from work. As a family, we all snuggled up in bed, and watched animal planet That is my favorite thing to do. We watched Too Cute!-Kitten version. They had Ragdoll, Burmese, and Sphinx on there.

Now, I am sure some of you are quite curious about my title. Well, let me explain. Mamma was over at a friends house, who has a Ball Python AS A PET! How crazy it that, a snake as a pet! Mama said she thought it was cute, and even held it, but I think it is absurd. I told Mama not to touch it again, otherwise she may be eaten! Anyway, her friend was going to feed Zena, the snake, her dinner. Well, her dinner was gonna be, now known as Stewart. Mama was telling me that, there was no way she was gonna let Zena eat a cute little baby albino mouse. So, when the snake was during its "hunt". Mama quickly scooped in and grabbed up the mouse. She told her friend that she was taking this little guy home, and that she will have to find something that's not cute to feed her! Mama is nuts! So, now we have a furry little albino mouse in our household. Unfortunately, none of us are allowed to eat him either. I personally don't want to eat him, I just think he is rather fascinating to watch. My fur-bro Sylvester on the other hand, he is so rude and licks his chops right in front of little Stewart! An Angel, well she is purely scared of mice. What a ferocious Pit bull, huh? :)

Glory-full days ahead!

Good Mid-Morning fellow furry friends!

I first would like to say, Thank you, to those whom tried very hard to convince my Mama to adopt Chester. Although, she seems very tempted to do so, she and Papa have came to the conclusion it is just not the right time to do so unfortunately. On, a good note though, Mama is working VERY hard to find him a good home. She actually has contacted her Aunt, whom recently lost a cat of 12 years, from cancer. She is looking for a elder cat, to keep the sister of the cat that passed, company. Mama said that she is very interested, and Mama really hopes she does adopt him, as she is a "cat lady". For right now though, he is in the care of Mama at the shelter. Mama makes sure that he has everything that he needs. Mama even puts chicken broth over kibble, so that he can consume it due to his missing teethies!

Also, good news regarding the Shelter. Multiple puppies have been adopted! Unfortunately, we have received 3 new little puppies as well. Mama has been working hard and putting up flyers every where to try and help. The good people that Mama works with are helping raise money as well.


So, as I am sure many of you are aware of, seeing your photo decor. This weekend, on Saturday, to be exact is St.Patty's Day! Boy oh boy, am I excited. See St.Patty's day is Mama favorite "small" holiday. She says it's a day full of "luck". So, I am sure Mama will get me lotsa nom nom's to celebrate the day with. Mama said to me this morning, that I would make an adorable leprechaun. Hmm.. I sure hope Mama doesn't make me wear's a costume. I am hoping that Mama will make me some cool St.Pattys photos! I thought it'd be interesting to point out that I learned in Irish, the word "Gaelic" means cat!

Speaking of photos, I posted a picture of Mittens AKA Mama and Papa thief. He is the tuxedo kitty that is now on my page. Sure, he may be handsome in a tuxedo, but he is robber I tell ya!


On a different end of the spectrum. Mama, Papa, ad I were watching Animal Planets show. "You must love cats" and I learned on there that the most kittens, a cat has had in her life times, the record was 420..some kittens! That's a lot! Mama said that goes to show why it is extremely important to spay and neuter your cats! Mama actually feels, there is no reason to have even breeders in this world due to the numerous amounts of unwanted animals. The only nice thing is, is you know what to expect health wise and prepare for, one of the reason why Mama has and is considering a breeder for at least one point in her life.
Also, I learned that one of the friendliest cat societies is down in the southern most tip of Florida! I told Mama that we should move there, but she said that it's too dangerous with all the hurricanes and etc. Hrmph!

So, I overheard Mama talking with Papa, about how once she finishes college. She is gonna strive for opening her own Animal Shelter/ Rescue. Got me thinking about what the name of the shelter would be...then I thought what better way to come up with a name, than to ask my friends! Anyone have any thoughts? Mama, wants something unique, but with deep meaning.
