A New Little Fur Sis

Good-Morning Fur-Friends!

Unfortunately, I do not have a ton of time to write a diary entry. As Mama needs to use the computer for very important business but I wanted everyone to see my new little fur sis Nevah. Sadly, she has no friends so far so being her fur brother I figured I shall help her out as I told her I had some very lovely friends. You can find her page under my family under my profile.

What a Day!

Today, has certainly been an interesting day.

Everything, started off very normal. Waking up to the beautiful sun-rise, and the crisp chill of the morning filling the air. Sylvester, Emmy, and I had a delicious can of Sea Captain's Choice which is a mighty tasty flavor by Friskies. With the three of us, we finished an entire big can! Mom said that was okay though, seeing as wet food is better for us anyhow.

I don't know if you caught that, but now Emmy is staying with us for awhile. For those who don't know Emmy is my grandpaws girlfriend's cat, which was Bella's buddy. Any-whoo Mama is quite happy about that as Emmy was not getting the proper nutrition living with them. Grandpaw's ditsy girlfriend was feeding my fur-bro Emmy Alley-Cat cat food, and insisted that it was the best cat food in the world! Mama said that, that cat food is CRAP and that it's ten times worse then Meow Mix. Anyway, Emmy was throwing up from it whenever he ate it, and has lost weight dramatically from not getting any carbs. You can see his spine and hip bones! Anyway, so Grandpaw is moving, and they cannot take Emmy with at this point and time, so Mama gladly took him. To find out that his left eye looks as if he is partially blind, and they have not taken him in to treat it! Good gracious was Mama very angry.

Anyway, so after we all had morning breakfast. Mama had plans to go pick up our new cat food today. As we have been living on little samples for the past week, which finally ran dry. The last sample we had was Natures Variety Instinct...but I didn't like that stuff. So, Mama, Papa, and Angel were off to the Pet store. When they go there, the Pet Store lady said that she was just about to call Mama. As she had a very important question to ask Mama. She said that she had a older blind albino hamster. That was in need of a good loving home, to live out her last days. So, the animal loving mother automatically said "yes" with no hesitation. Besides Mama seems to be a sucker for the little fury critters. No way does she love them better than us cats though. Anyway, the little gal did not have a name. Mom wanted a meaningful name, seeing as she is blind and yet the sweetest little thing apparently. So, she named her "Halo". So, now I have Stewart, Loki, Jynx, and Halo to all watch over and critter sit. It's my favorite thing to do.

While at the pet store. Mama was un-pleased to find out though that our cat food order did not come in of the Natural Balance Duck. We are completely out of cat food. So, reluctantly Mama bought Natural Balance Alpha: Trout, Salmon, and Whitefish. I instantly thought Boo-Ya! Because that stuff is delicious. Mom says that enjoy it while it lasts, because too much fishy stuff apparently is not good for us boys. Emmy, gets to choose between Natural Balance and Kitten food. Mama put him on Kitten food, like the vet recommended due to his weight loss. He says that stuff is delicious...Mama won't let Sylvester or I have any as she says we do not need any more weight hehe.

Also, while at the store. Mama held something called a Degu. That I guess is related to a prairie dog. Mama knew though that two new additions is enough for now. She also has a secret obsession for ferrets and black bunnies, and sure enough all there! Then during the midst of all that a woman showed up that Mama said was very dumb, but gave her credit. As she found a dog. Well, being Mama works at the shelter Mama offered to bring it there for her. Not knowing that this dog had some issues. It bit the woman and woman's personal dog. So, Mama said that it'd be best for the woman to bring the dog there herself. Seeing as Angel was with, and Mama did not want to cause anymore damage to the little dog or to Angel. Speaking of Angel, she got some amazing smelly good treats. They too are made by Natural Balance, and have Tillman from America's Top Dog on there. Guess he is the new image for Natural Balance. Beings that Mama is a loyal customer to the pet store, she offered to help out part-time there. The owner said she would surely let Mama know.

So, as I stated as my title. What a Day! Things simmered out a bit after this morning. Mama,Papa, Emmy, Sylvester, Angel, and I all snuggled up on the bed and took a nice long nap.

Now, to see what this evening brings us!

P.s. I forgot to mention while I was talking about small furry critters that Sylvester caught a wild chipmunk. Mama made him let him go though, and Sylvester got scolded. The little guy was not hurt what so ever, but was a bit shook up. Told you Ma, I am the good one!

Too good to be true!

Good Lovely Morning Fellow Catster's,

It has indeed been sometime since I have wrote in my poor neglected diary, but not things have settled down quite a bit, so I am back to say the least! :)

As you can imagine, with the move taking place in August. Mama and Papa, have been rather busy trying to find a place to rent. That will allow us fur-babies. None the least Mama found a nice little spot to rent. I didn't get to go with on the tour, but Angel did, and she was telling me that it is rather lovely. It's an older trailer house, but rather small and cozy. Two bedroom and one bathroom, small kitchen and bigger living room. It is located right near the lake that Angel likes to swim at, and it is set in a woodsy spot. Also, comes along with a channel lot, with our own private dock. Everyone, even me is rather excited for this move to take place. Mama is excited about re-decorating the place, and Papa is worried about the money Mama will spend doing that..MOL. This however will not be our final move, next fall (September 2013) we are all moving down to Eagan, MN. So, that Mama can go to college for Veterinary Technician and Animal Shelter Management. Along with Papa who is going for Culinary Arts, which is awesome cause now we will have two GREAT cooks in the house and more food for me to steal and nibble on!

Speaking of food, as some may know and some may not know. Mama has been on a quest to find a new cat food for me other than Chicken Soup. As well, I am beginning not to like it. What can I say I like something at first, then my tummy and taste buds just change their mind. Not my fault. Anyway, so Mama has been bringing home samples for Sylvester and I, to try out. She even tried slipping Taste of the Wild Venison in there. What does she think I am dumb! I am not gonna eat that stuff...yuck. She says its good for me, but maybe that's why it tastes so bad. I overheard Mama telling Papa that it doesn't bother her as bad that I won't eat TOTW due to all of the recalls anyway. I have tried many different samples indeed. I have tried Holistic Select Duck, HS Anchovies, Natures Variety Instinct Duck and Rabbit formulas, TOTW: Venison, Natural Balance Alpha Salmon, and NB Original formula. Out of all of them I love the Natural Balance Alpha Salmon, BUT Mama will not let me have that one as my main food. As she keeps telling me that too much fish is bad for us older boys. So, Mama is awaiting to receive samples of Natural Balance Duck formula. As I ate HS Duck best out of all the other ones...but still wasn't too crazy about it. Sylvester however did engorge all of it...and mum says I am "fluffy." Angel, too got her food switched over as the pet store is bringing in new foods other than ONLY diamond products. They now have Natural Balance, Blue Buffalo, Holistic Select, and I believe are getting Natures Variety Instinct. Anyway, Angel is on the NEW! formula of Natural Balance it is Duck and some type of bean. She seems to like it pretty well...even I went over to check it out and it smelled mighty tasty.

Mama is so happy that she found a good grain-free cat food, that we all are seeming to like. It seems though everything that seems ridiculously good, meaning ingredients wise not PRICE! Is just too good to be true...what do you guys think?

As of recently poor little Stewart was pretty ill. He developed a bloody rash that covered his entire back and under belly. To come to find out, it was the new bedding that Mama bought him, as they were out of his usual kind. He is now healing up, as mama has been putting triple antibiotic ointment on him. Stewart, has not yet met Loki and Jynx. Mama was worried about introducing them, as she does not want them to fight. In case some don't know Loki and Jynx are the two mice that mama adopted. Jynx is what I call cow colored, he is black and white spotted like a cow. Loki is mainly a creamy light brown color with a tiny calico patch on her back, she is rather quite large for a mouse. She is very sweet and tame though, secretly I am thinking she is Mamas favorite. Why is it that Moms like every animal that is a little on the hefty side?

Yesterday, sure was an eventful day as well. Mama was working at the animal shelter, and a woman brought in a 6 toed kitten. Whom, was named Rosie. Mama said she is the cutest little hellion she has seen. Other than us boys of-course. She said though that she'd adopt ever animal from there if she could. In particular she has fell in love with Jack who is a Staffie mix, she said he is just a doll. That if we were not moving in a month he would join our household.

After, Mum got home from the animal shelter. Us boys go groomed and our nails clipped. While Angel got to go swimming in a mucky, fish smelling lake. She stunk up the entire house when she got back. She too got brushed our and her nails clipped. It is the first time in a long time Mama has clipped Angels nails, as she was nervous to because last time she cut one of Angels nails to short. OUCH!

So, that is how life has been going as of lately. Rather eventful, but I hear the can opener and am getting some whiffs on tuna. So, I am off for now. I need to beat Sylvester to the bowl, so I can steal his share as well!
