Well, it MUST have sprung cuz today Mom finally opened the heavy, Winter drapes in our bedroom. It was pretty nice to see all that sunshine streaming in the windows, lightening up the whole room.
Wait a minute...it was dark and cloudy and just plain ugly outside all day. I tried to look out and get excited but all I could see was white snow and gray skies and gray clouds and brown trees. Not much to remind me of Spring!
However, I did spend a bit of time out in my Summer kitchen today and whilst I was sitting in the window I spied a true sign of Spring...all those millions of redwinged blackbirds were back. Not only did I see them but I also heard them, those birds are very, very noisy!!! They were all down in the back yard by the gardens...wonder if any flowers are peeking up yet? I doubt it since everything is finally covered in snow.
Not that it will do me any good to think about Spring and flowers and birds...there is no way, no how I am ever going to be able to sneak out this Summer with those silly kittens here, they will certainly tell Mom if I am even close to the door.
I am sure they won't try to sneak out, they've been here since November and they just started going out into MY Summer kitchen in the last couple of weeks. Guess it was too cold out there for their little feetsies????
I get to go out in that Summer kitchen at least once every day cuz Mom has finally discovered that I do not like GROUP litter boxes. There is one JUST for me out in MY Summer kitchen, thank goodness!!! If I ever catch one of those babies in there, using MY box, there WILL be trouble in paradise, that is for sure!!!
