Waking up my human by laying on her, purring and scratching her face.
Her human not paying attention to you.

****Update - Kittybaby has gone to a wonderful new home as of today. A wonderful friend of mine agreed to take her, she has other cats, is a good kitty mommy and will take excellent care of her. She is keeping me posted on how she is doing in her new home. I keep waiting to hear the jingle of the bell on her collar or something. I cried for three hours after I took her over.&&&&&
Let me say that before Kittybaby, I was not a cat person, never have been a cat person. And the feeling was apparently mutual, cats didn't want anything to do with me. But Kittybaby adopted me about two months ago in a most unorthodox fashion. She was an indoor/outdoor cat that apparently belonged to someone in my condo complex (I didn't know this as she had no collar on). About 2 weeks before the "adoption" she started showing up on my doorstep, rubbing me, laying on her back to be petted, etc. At first, I sort of ignored her, not being a cat person. I would occasionally pet her, but nothing else. Then one day I opened the door and she ran inside (she had never attempted it before) and promptly began to make herself at home. She looked like she might belong to someone, no fleas, decent health, etc., but no collar. So my sister, who is a cat person, brought me a few supplies, took some pictures and we posted "found cat" posters. We live on a fairly busy street with a very busy street nearby, so we kept her inside. About four days later, after I had become accustomed to purringkittyonmytummy, I got a knock on my door. Her owner had come to collect her, stating she had a breakaway collar that had come off.
Kittybaby had a sister cat with whom she was an indoor/outdoor cat. While she was with me the first time, her sister cat began to bond with the pre-owner. When Kittybaby went back home, apparently she sat in a corner and glared at everyone, fought with her sister kitty, and wouldn't let anyone pet her. And whenever she went outdoors she would come immediately to my front door (the preowner would watch her over her back fence). For the next week every time I opened the door or walked up to my door, kitty was laying there. I ignored her, she had her collar on and I knew she belonged to someone else. She tried to come in the house, would sit at the door and meow. So finally I picked her up, brought her inside and my son called the preowner.
Initially she (the human) was very apologetic, thinking that the cat had been bothering me, etc. I finally told her that it bothered me more because I had gotten somewhat attached while she was with us. This is when we (the humans) discussed where she belonged. Luckily the preowner could see that she was happy here, told me what she had been like at home, etc, and we decided she would stay with me.
And so I have been adopted by a cat. I don't know cats, so I will need a lot of advice. I have stood in the pet store looking at things like an idiot trying to figure out what toy to buy her. She has been to the vet, gotten a clean bill of health, etc. So now I have Kittybaby.

The vet says I am part smokey blue point, part tabby. Cream body, blue/gray legs w/ white feet, and, well you can see my face. Kittymommy just thinks I am gorgeous.

So, my mom got this new job. She thinks it is great cuz she is a nurse and this is an 8-5 job M-F instead of 12-hour shifts. She thinks things are just hunkydory, but they are not! She used to be home three or four days for me to pester and have her pet me, now she is only home two days. No time for all the luv I deserve. So I have decided to scratch her favorite piece of furniture (even though she doused it with clove oil - I laugh at her meager attempts to thwart me), hide and only come out to eat my food, and then bit her when she is asleep to wake her up to pet me. The biting gig isn't working out quite as I planned, but I intend to remain vigilant and perservere!

So mom is getting a little frustrated with me. Of course, she isn't a "natural" at cat stuff, so I guess I have to cut her some slack. But she better get with the program soon.
I personally think I belong in Kitty Mensa because I am a genius. Mom has these Elfa drawers in her closet, and in one of the drawers she keeps her hair accessories. Well, they are really MY hair accessories, she just gets to use what is left or what she can find - hehe. So, I have figured out how to get up to the level of that drawer and go "fishing" for hair "thingys." Mom doesn't know how I do it, I have managed to drag things out of there I shouldn't have been able to even reach. But I am the Empress, I can do anything.
Well, mom got a bit upset and has now moved the drawer up higher in the stack, and hung a garment bag on a hanger in front of it so I can't get to the drawer. I am really upset about this.
Now, since mom is ignoring me to write this post, I have decided to jump on the back of her computer chair and try to chew her hair so she will pay attention to me instead. Hehe, I am soooo smart.!
