vet and I

Well I think it will all be alright but I want mind a few purrs if you don't mind. I will be going to see the vet tomorrow. I have this on again off again problem with marking my territory and mom and dad have tried everything to work with me calming collars, rescue remedy, feliway plug ins, etc... The thing is now we are going to have me checked to see if maybe when I got my fruit cups emptied years ago, maybe something got missed. The vet's office told mom they will do an exam, blood work, maybe some urine just to be sure I have not developed some type of health issues. I don't act sick but I don't like strange kitties in my yard I get so stressed! So after they check me to make sure I am still in totally good health, then I will need to get an x-ray and see if I might have to have surgery and if that is not the case and my issues are just territory marking, then we might have to get me some anti anexitity drugs. Mom does not want to do this but there doesn't seem to be any other way. We got new drapes several times and replaced carpets with tile, and replaced a bed an a couch and now i might end up drugged. :(
So we will take it one day at a time just like we have been and start with having me checked again to be sure there are no health issues.
Little nervous about this I do not care for vets...

I am watching over you littleboy, and purring that a solution to your problem of marking will present itself to your vet. I know that your mama and papa have done everything possible and no one wants to have to choose drugs, but hopefully if they do have to, there will be something good available.

Love and purrs,

Tigger Angel

Purrs are being sent! Mom had a cat rescue once that marked all over the house, so she knows how stressful that can be for everyone. We wish you the best of luck!

Little Boy, we are purring. Vets are just the worst. I don't like to go either. Hey, you don't have to mark anything. It's all yours anyway.

Sometimes I mark areas too! Sometimes one of the siblings do too. We don't like it when stay cats come into our yards either. Grammy put calming collars on some of us and the ends she snips off she puts around the windows. MOst of the time they helps, but not all the times. She also uses a calming spray and sprays the curtains, and windows. Sometimes it works somtimes it don't. We also put a big piece of cardboard in the window we kept marking. That Work for a long time, but than one of us hit it. Grammy tries lots of things and she talks to us about this being a no! No! What ever that is. MOL!!!
So we hopes going to the vets rules out bladder problems, etc. We sends our Kitty Purrs to you Littleboy. Good lucks.

Guilty as charged also...Mom buys Nature's Miracle by the gallon. They do have a new one called NO SPRAY that has a cinnamon & citrus fragrance to help discourage marking...have not tried it though...

OMC, Littleboy! We are in the same moment. Hoping everything be okay and that you can find a good answer. My mom and dad have tried everything. Calming collars, felaway, multiple litter boxes. I think they wish they had stock in Nature's Miracle. They buy it by the gallon. They even bought a small Bissell pet spot cleaner. I was started on Prozac yesterday, but it seems to depress me. Purring for you and yur family!

By the way, if your Mom has on-demand with her cable, she might want to look up as many episodes of "My Cat From Hell" from Animal Planet as she can. Fixing spraying problems is one of the most routine problems that comes up, and Jackson Galaxy has a lot of really good advice my Mom wishes she had had (though they didn't have enzymatic cleaners then.)

I was going to recommend the same thing as Minuette! Please check out My Cat From Hell. Jackson Galaxy goes over this type of problem a lot. There are different causes but there are solutions! You can catch a lot of the episodes free online. Jackson Galaxy also has an essence line for all different types of problems.

This is a frustrating problem for pawrents but please sit them down to watch some of these shows and I bet you will get tips to help you.

Best of luck!!
