Arrival Story:
I was looking at cats on Petfinder.com and saw this adorable calico named "Patch." She is blind on the left side and her eye is closed. But she had the sweetest face. I kept thinking about her and going back and looking at her. Finally I filled out the online application, got a call from the shelter, and was approved. She joined our furry family on February 6, 2005 and has made herself at home.

Bio:
Meowmie wanted to change my time to something Celtic, and she chose "Fiona." It means "white or comely." She says I'm her pretty girl. *beaming* She also said my name came from a song called "One-Eyed Fiona." Some guy named Lyle Lovett recorded it. I'm already learning how to zoom around the house even though I can't see out of one eye. I still hiss and growl a little at my sisfurs if they get too close to me, but meowmie says I'll get use to them.

Fiona's Follies


My Furever Home

I've been living in my furever home for about 10 days now. I was a little shy the first two or three days. I spent a lot of time in my human uncle's bedroom. If I needed downtime meowmie would shut the door and let me relax in peace.

I get the crazies and go zooming around the house now. I will even play with my brofur (Sable) and sisfurs (Clarissa, Jazzpurr, and Serendipity). If no one is home I will sleep in the living room in a chair. That's where meowmie usually can find me when she gets home from work. At night I like to sleep at the foot of the bed with my human uncle.

Meowmie is trying to learn how to clean out my bad eye that doesn't open. I get brown gunk in it. I'll let her do it for a little while, but then I get anxious and want her to stop.

I love my furever home and I'm so glad I'm here!!!!
