Arrival Story: I had a home with my sister Sasha for 13 years until our owners moved to a "no pets" apartment and turned us in at Animal Control. Can you believe they just dumped us after 13 years? We are both declawed, which means we need to be indoors kitties. My sister has already found a new home, but I have not been as lucky.
We won't eat anything but our usual food and stopped eating while in foster care and lost some weight since our foster mom didn't know what to feed us. The humans were finally able to find the right food, thank goodness, but unfortunately I developed fatty liver disease while not eating right and had to spend some time at the vet hospital because of it. I'm back in my foster home now and doing much better. And now that they know what to feed me, it shouldn't happen again!
Bio: If you are interested in adopting me, please let High Country Friends for Life know. I'm available for adoption for just a donation, but they don't ship so you would have to arrange to pick me up in Boone. Even if you can't take me in, donations to cover my hospital stay would be very welcome!
