Everything is great here in my new home. We've been here a week and I've totally adjusted to my new room and new mommy. She has tasty feet! Lucy still has a way to go to get to where she was with our foster parents but has taken to hiding up on top of our neat cat tree where our new parents can easily give her pets. All that contact is sure to make a difference for her!
Yesterday our foster parents stopped by for a visit and I was sooo happy! I was a little nervous at first, but I got a good look at them and thought they seemed familiar... I came out and they started petting me and I realized who they were pretty quick. I ran between them and my new mommy getting pets and playing fetch with my fluff- it was great! I really liked showing off how great my new mommy was, like I was so proud to have her. My foster parents kept telling me not to eat my mommy's feet but I guess I haven't chewed on them that hard because she still thinks it's cute enough to let me get away with it, teeheehee! They got to pet Lucy a little in her pagoda house on the cat tree but mostly it was me hamming it up. I showed them how the doggies startle me a little when they bark real loud or come in my room but how I'm a brave boy and keep my ears and tail up straight- a good sign that I'll learn to accept them. Except that sneaky little "Gweedy" dog better not eat up all our kitten food! We're pretty protective about our food in this family- our mama kitty taught us that food was a luxury item!
So far so good! And Ernie and Izzie have a prospective adopter coming to meet them tonight, too! We hope everything works out for us here and they get to go together to a great home!
