I AM THE CATSTER CAT OF THE DAY!!!!!!!!

I am so excited and so very happy---I am the Cat of the Day!!!! ME---Yasha!!! I can hardly believe it and Mommy is so happy.....she only has us "furkids" so what a special Mommy's Day surprise!!!! I have been getting extra treats and cuddles all day!! I already was spoiled....but still remain humble!! Thank you, everyone, for the beautiful gifts!!! I am just overwhelmed with joy and gratitude!!!!

I love you all!!! I am also thrilled to have made new cat pals today!!

A rose to all the kind hearts in Catster!!!

Hi, everyone.....Yasha here. Yesterday Mommy took a photo of me by some roses and she is so happy with that photo that she immediately posted it on my page. Now today Mommy isn't feeling good--just sinus and allergies--but I have been checking on her.

It has been a quiet day so while laying on the sofa with Mommy, I was doing some reflective thinking about those roses. We live in the desert and Mommy often tells me that she misses Ohio and the flowers, grass and trees there. So she gets artificial flowers and has around our home! It is so important that we surround ourselves with beauty.

We don't have much rain here at all and everything is so dry.....I like to sit in the window with Gilda and watch the sheep (our nearest neighbors' flock) as they come through our land. I feel so sorry for them---they must not be able to find many edible plants but they still try. The little lambs still kick up their heels and frolic in the sun! What a lesson for us. See I told you that I was in a reflective mood today.....

I also often see stray dogs wandering through our property and I am filled with a thankfulness that I have such a good home with lots of love and food. SO many animals are suffering now. It seems every day on the news I hear the latest story of animal cruelty. PLEASE....to all the readers of my diary...please adopt an animal in need! And if there are strays in your area, make sure that you carry a bag of cat and dog food in your car....along with disposable bowls. Even if you live where you can't have a flower garden (like Mommy!), you will be planting seeds of kindness in your heart which will grow and make you a beautiful person. To all who do help suffering animals, I wish that I could give you a big rose!!! As I said before, surround yourself with beauty....the beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit that cares for ALL living creatures.

Keep up the good work....let kindness bloom in your heart!!!

Hee-Hee---boy, did I fool Mommy & Daddy!!!!

Hi, pals!!

Did you notice that I have had a NAME CHANGE? And that I am no longer listed as a girl but as a BOY?!!!!

I hate to tell how DUMB Mommy & Daddy are...but this story is too funny NOT to tell!!!!

Well, when I arrived at their home in that box with my siblings, I heard them say, "Oh, we want a little girl!" So....I quickly reared up on the box and reached for them!! Hee-hee, they thought that I was a girl!!!! And I sure wasn't going to explain to them that I was a little boy!!!

It worked and they took me....and they kept gushing about their "cute little girl"!! I could hardly keep a straight face!! But Tuesday, November 23, I went to the vet and she told them that I was a LITTLE BOY!!! Of course, it didn't matter to them!! They love ME!!!

You will also notice that Gilda & I switched names!! So I (who used to be "Gilda") am now "Yasha"! And Gilda (who used to be "Yasha") took my name!! Now that I have you totally confused.....I will close for now!!! Til later!!
