So the peeps talked with the vet today and I am officially scheduled for surgery on Monday morning. Also on sometime saturday I have to go in and get my blood taken so they can make sure I am totally fine for my procedure. The peeps were kind of hoping to get me in a bit sooner but the start of next week isn't too bad, especially with my pain meds really helping me. I am moving around a lot more and have been much more spunky and happy. The peeps are already preparing for my recovery though. Over the weekend my girl got out the wire dog kennel and cleaned it up. That is where I will be living for a few weeks after my surgery, it is not going to be fun. Luckily the litter box, bed & food dishes all fit so they don't have to buy a new one but I don't have any room to run around or play! They tell that is the point on the crate but I don't think it is very fair. The peeps know it is going to be a challenge to keep my happy inside of there and to stop me from escaping. If anyone has an tips for helping to make the experience better please let me know!

The peeps are happy that I will soon be on the road to no more pain, but they are very worried. The only time I have ever been put under was for my neuter and that was a much more simple procedure. They completely trust the doctor doing my surgery but they will for sure be counting down the hours for when they can call and see how I am doing.

I will keep you guys updated.

Me and Minko, and all our angel-furblings will add our purrs and pawyers, too.
And not only fur you, but fur your furmily so that the worry will not stop them from letting you get this done...and later we will keep purring fur a quiet recovery. Maybe you can catch up on the latest birdie or rodent videos, or maybe some nice fish under the sea. Are there not videos like those for kitty entertainments?

Sending tons of purrs and hugs to you and your furmily.

Lots of Feliway is in need for sure. It's very possible it'll help Dora get over the vet smell on you too. The dogs as you know will be curious and probably will keep you company (that is if your nice to them)

Don;t forget to let him sit on your lap some (if he's a lap kitty) I am but Gris isn't. I thank it's the age difference. Also if you can put the cage in the room you spend most of your time in or move it around will help fight boredom or loneliness.

Mom said you might want to change out the toys in the cage to help with boredom. birdie for a couple days, mice, paper balls ect. As long as your not racing around in there you should be fine with toys.

When you do take him out, if he gets difficult to put back in, struggles to get loose when your holding him or wants to roam around to much....wrap him up in a towel tightly and hold him. Mom learned this trick to help with clipping Thunder Bunnies toenails and it help keep Zoe calm when she cut her leg wide open. (long story she snagged her leg on a pulled up decking nail, as she was trying to escape)

Can;t thank of anything else for right now. The kitty videos are a nice touch too.

Purrs and I'm sure we'll talk to you before the big day.

will be sending lots o purrs for your operation. Just think, by the time the nice weather rolls around, you will feel so much better! I agree on the Feliway spray or some sort of calm spray - we also use PetNaturals calm treats daily - Felix is a really skittish boy & it helps him, and me too when I am agitated - so maybe it will help you if you get antsy in your cage. We will be thinking of you on Monday buddy - let us know asap ok?
