Bio:
Odin is the household wildcard. He is, to be honest, a little bit insane. It is impossible to guess what he will get up to next. He'll run laps around the apartment (which is, conveniently enough, laid out like a race track), he'll flop himself down lazily in the middle of the dining room table (and then look honestly surprised to be scolded off), he crawls under the couch to play with the stuffing and springs he's worked out, he has a passion for sweets, can be as docile as a teddy bear though he sports a bit of a jealous streak that shows itself in his constant quest for attention. He loves to be loved and purrs like a motor. We call it the Odor Motor when he's really going. In his two years here he has gained 10 pounds and a serious quantity of fluff, however, he may well never stop acting like a kitten. We named him Odin thinking that the godly name would be good for a cat, but in the beginning we mostly just called him Odor, owing to his stinkiness. He's a lot less stinky now, indeed, he patrols the litterbox, covering up for anyone he feels has not done a suitable job, but we have noted that his name is still not quite apt. Perhaps he will grow into it, but this guy is too goofy and good-natured to be the all-father. Sticking with the Norse Pantheon we would have been closer to the mark by naming him Loki, the trickster, but there's nothing malevolent about him. So sometimes we still call him Odor, just for the playfulness of that nickname. Also, after stumbling over an affectionate greeting for my fuzzy boy, we hit upon the term "buzzy", which somehow does great justice to his spirit.
