 Quick Bio:
Likes: He loved sitting at the computer desk drooling as I petted him. He loved to be cuddled! He also loved to sit on the roof of the house; he would jump up from the porch rail and sit up there all day long on warm spring days. He also loved his pal Gritty.

Pet-Peeves: That ugly feral Orange Cat that kept bothering him.

Favorite Toy: Gritty-Kitty, rats and mice

Favorite Nap Spot: Computer desk, roof of the house

Favorite Food: Anything was great for Oliver.

Skills: He made me the happiest cat owner on the planet...because of him, I learned to understand and love cats.

Arrival Story: I moved to rural VA in 2001. I lived alone in the mountains with my 3 dogs, and I tell you life was very lonely. Then one day Oliver showed up. I used to watch him chase mice in the meadow across from my house. Sometimes he would just sit in the field and stare at me, the wind blowing in his long beautiful hair. So one day, I called out to him..."OLIVER!!" And he came running to me and jumped in my arms. It was as if that was his name and he had been waiting all that time for me to call to him. So every day for months, I would go out to greet him, and he would lay purring in my arms. We were both so grateful to have found one another, and we soon became the best of friends. It's hard to say who needed who most of all. I know he needed my love, companionship, shelter and stability, but I needed him just as much, probably more. I never considered Oliver to be my 'pet', but always referred to him as my best friend. My dogs wouldn't let him come in the house so I shut the computer room door and left the window open for him so he could come and go as he pleased. I wanted him to be a completely indoor cat, but I guess he had been taking care of himself for so long that he needed to be outside. I never saw another rodent in or near my house after I brought Oliver into my home. He changed my life completely. Before Oliver, I was strictly a 'dog person'. Oliver showed me how wonderful cat's can be when the time is taken to understand them. When I moved, I of course brought my beautiful Oliver with me. It turns out that my dogs were ok with Oliver, and when we moved into our new home, they all lived together in perfect harmony. Sadly, to my worst fear, Oliver wandered too far from home one day soon after we moved into our new house, and he found the highway. I found him laying peacefully on the side of the road. My heart was broken, and still is. But I am a better person for having known my Oliver, if only for a short time. To see a happy ending to this story, make sure you check out my other kitty, ' BOSS CLAWDIUS'.

Bio: Rest in Peace my little Prince.

Hello!
I can't believe I am here in Heaven! I didn't have any idea how I got here until Louie told me. I can't believe I wandered so far from home. I am so sorry! I thought I had at least 1 of my 9 lives left, but I guess not. Oh well, what do you expect from a roaming stray Tom cat such as myself?
We are having a fantastic time here, I get to play with Gritty-Kitty all day long, and we love to chew on Louie's ears and ride the hippos. We run in the tall grass and eat anything we want....even mice! The mice here are way better than the ones on earth, these mice all look like all those people that kicked me, hit me or threw things at me when I was still alive. Now I get to chase them and eat them. Louie tells me it's 'Karma'...whatever that is. Neat eh?
I dream about you every night, and I can see how sad you are without me. I sent you Boss Clawdius, and he seems to be taking over where I left off. I will see you again some day though, believe me, I am not going anywhere nor would I want to.
I love you so very much and miss you desperately. I'm counting the days before I get to see you all again (don't worry, it's not for quite a long while yet!!)
All my love,
Oliver
ps-Jason, you are right, I was trying to steal her away from you!! I miss you very much too. Take care of her for me.
