Arrival Story:
My daughter and I were Trick or Treating in a neighboring city. We saw three girls that were dressed as witches toss something into the street and run off laughing. As we walked by where they were, we saw a little black kitten in the street. We picked him up, carried him with us, and continued Trick or Treating. When we went to a house a few houses down, the man said he thought he just saw that cat with some girls in witch costumes. It turned out they were using him as part of their costume, then threw him down when they were done. I took him to the animal shelter in case he belonged to someone and was taken, but left my number for them to call me if no one claimed him. I also put up "Kitten Found" signs. No one claimed him, so we went back to the shelter and officially adopted him.
