Arrival Story:
Precious found her way to our ranch a couple years ago. Since there were barn cats here, she found food. She would sneak into the areas where there was food and eat. She was a little afraid of us to start with. You would see her hiding in the hay bale piles.
It didn't take long for her to figure out that Grandpa like cats. Precious kept coming closer and closer until she made friends with him. Grandpa introduced me to Precious once she started staying in the barns.
She was always wanting to sneak into the house. She always wanted attention. Grandma looked her over for fleas and such...First thing
noticed was Precious had been de-clawed....(OMC! She can't sleep outside without claws!)
Didn't take long to figure out that Precious had probably belonged to an elderly person who either died or had went to a nursing home. No one wanted to be bothered with her. Drove into the country and dumped her.
Precious had not only been declawed, but spayed. We assume given her regular shots. The Vet looked her over and she is in excellent health. She is about 10 years old. We have updated all her shots.
Precious has a huge laundry basket with 2 comforters for a bed. Her turf is Grandpa's cattle room. She goes whereever she wants outside. The barn cats cow-toe to her.. Precious is black with four white socks, a white belly and deep green eyes.
Whoever raised Precious from a kitten on really spent tons of time with her. She loves to be brushed. Could brush her hair all day long and she'd lay there. She will jump into your lap the minute you sit down. Apparently she stayed very close to her orginial guardian.
She rarely meow's, but has the ability. By sneaking around exploring the house whenever she has opportunity....obvious, she lived in a house.
I don't know too many cats that like you to look in there ears. Look closely at their feet. Will allow you to examine her teeth. None of these things upset her or bother her in anyway.
Even without front claws...she is a terrific hunter. She catches birds or mice everyday. She doesn't play with Mazy, but tolerates Mazy's youth and energy. She does not like any of the barn cats! She runs them away from the house yard. (This is terrific! Since Grandma doesn't like the barn cats digging up her yard and flowers.)

Hell-o Pals- Just wanted to let our pals know that Gma's Daddy is very very ill. He isn't going to get well. Prayers are appreciated.
She is leaving us to go be with him,her Mom and sister. She will be Indiana. She is leaving before the sun rises on Friday and will be gone a month. Maybe longer. Depends on how things go there and here at our Ponderosa.
Precious and I promised to be very good for Gpa. He is busy calving. The grand kids will come to visit us. Gma thinks she can hire them to help Gpa with his housekeeping.
OMD! She has so many lists to make to leave him.So he knows where everything is. Important stuff,like my treat stash. All the foodies Gma lined up for him. (He even gets to eat stuff, Gma won't let him eat often when she is here) Maybe this means I'll get more treats? Gpa's more generous with the goodies and forgets how little I am.
Tomorrow, she spends the day packing,canceling her May appts. Checking and rechecking all the
to-do's. Has to teach Gpa how to use the new washer.
You know Gpa can't turn a puter on. Gma really won't have much free time. Maybe once a week, she can find her way to a puter to check in? Don't know.
BTW- we still have snow on the ground.
Friday it is suppose to be 70. Sure and Gma
won't be here to enjoy it! She'll believe it,
when someone tells her it really happened.

Easter Week was just fabulous for ME!!!! Couldn't have
been more Perfect! I was Princess of the Week with
Princess Diva and Prince Charming Group. Everyone wanted
to ask me questions. Find out new things about me. I
was in the Limelight and showered with attention ALL
Week. Then I was one of the Daily Diary Picks and
pals stopped by to chit-chat with me some more....
It was PuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrfectTTTTTTT!!!!!!!
Pals all over catster and dogster were sending out
wishes for a Blessed and Happy Easter. My page is
ever so Pretty with all the greetings. I won a
couple games I was playing. This hardly ever happens!
This kitty fur isn't so lucky with the games...
I was ever so busy teasing and strutting my stuff
around little crazy Mazy! My doxie fur-sis....
The grandkids came for Easter and spoiled me....
Lots of snuggles and cuddles. They fed me Chicken
for Easter dinner. I thought, with so many Pawsome
things happening....Maybe, I dreamt it all,when
taking a kitty nap??????
Monday morning,I found out I was Cat of the Month
at PDPC. I have a new CROWN to wear for the whole
month! Some more pressies showed up...I just couldn't
believe it is all REAL? I was interviewed for the PDPC
monthly group magazine. I'm a feature for April....
LOOK QUICK! I have a headache! Mazy is sure my
HEAD IS SWELLING! She's laughing at me! Says, my
Crown is fitting a little to tight! She accused me
of being filled with TOO MUCH MYSELF! What??????
Don't ALL kitties think, they are Royalty?????????
I think, she is a little pea-green! I LOVE IT, WHEN
I'M TOP DOG EVEN FOR JUST A LITTLE WHILE!
Thanks for all the attention,it's a blast...A little
exhausting for a senior kitty! I think, I need a Nap
before, Gma delivers my supper. I wonder if, she'll
let me order off a special royalty menu??????????
