Arrival Story:
We had recently lost several cats to Feline Leukemia and our puppy was grieving for the loss of his cats. Rudie would keep searching and whimpering, we had not planned on getting anymore cats because losing the ones the way we did hurt. Rudies grief was too much so we checked on a kitten that was being housed at the vets. This small kitten was estimated to be 8 weeks old and had lived at the vets for 4 weeks recovering from injuries he received. The tip of his tail was missing and had been burned with a lit ciggarrette on his foot. He was abused and abandoned on the side of the road before he was 4 weeks old. We decided to adopt him and had his vaccinations done before bringing him home. His actual birth date is unknown and counted back 8 weeks from the time we got him.

Call to Action

I write this as a proud family member of my three precious fur babies, Rudie, Rocky & Sammy. For close to a year our family has supported Nitro's Law.

This law isn't just about Nitro, its about PROTECTING companion animals in OHIO. To be honest we have crappy laws. The laws do not protect our trusted, loyal family members without a voice.

It angers me knowing that my beloved babies could be abused by a groomer, or if I ever kennel them (which would never happen!). That my neighbor could harm them. And these actions could go unpunished because of crappy laws.

They give us friendship, love, comfort and companionship. They listen to us without judging us. We owe them so much and they ask for so little. Let's change the laws to give them a voice.

Now I want to ask a favor. Whether or not you live in Ohio~~ Everyone Please call: Lynn Slaby 614.644.5085 just say "I'm calling to encourage Representative Slaby to put Nitro's Law HB 108 on the agenda" Thank you!!)

Most mobile plans have nights and weekends so this call would be free on mobile carriers & you don't have to give your name just leave a brief message stating ""I'm calling to encourage Representative Slaby to put Nitro's Law HB 108 on the agenda" Thank you!!)".

It takes less than a minute and you could help change our Law

This week I have went out of the way trying to be the cat of the house by trying to put meat on the table.

3 days ago I caught a mouse outside and tried to get my mom to let me in. I meowed and meowed to say dinner is served but was ignored.

Yesterday I quietly left my offering for mom and again Mom didn't want the bird.

Today I caught a lizard and put it by the back door. I tried to let Mom know it was brunch time. She said Eeeek and would not let me in!

What's it going to take to feed my family? I sure miss my sister Cocoa, at least she didn't snub my offerings...

Oh well.

Thank You Furiends

Thank You furiends for making this a most purr-fect day. I was quite surprised to come home after a night of hunting to learn I was one of today's diary picks.

I had an excellent night of hunting, trapping and dining on a field mouse. My territory is so large I never have to go to far for my nightly entertainment. There is also a culvert I use to travel under the road, so I never cross the road to hunt.

My domain and the woods provide great hunting grounds. Its a privileged cats life. After a night of prowling, I come inside for a much needed nap on my Mother's bed. Life is good.

Thank you for the New picture from Kewlest Catster Kitties for my and for the cat mail, comments and the Blue Ribbon. I got great cats in my life I'm proud to call furiends.
