Arrival Story: I was working at General Boats, maker of the Rhodes 22'. The plant was home, initially, to about five feral cats. The owners wife, rather than find them homes, fed them and kept feeding them until there were around thirty cats steadily breeding and inbreeding.
I was working in the woodshop with the doors open when I heard a kitten meowing pitifully. I walked out of the door in the direction of the meowing but couldn't see anything. I started whisking through some knee high grass for about ten minutes until I finally found him. He wasn't even one month old. I knew this because his eyes were not fully opened. I took him to where the other cats were getting fed and placed him there then went in and watched through the window to see which cat came up to him. After listening to him cry for about thirty minutes and all of the cats ignore him, not as much as a sniff, I went out and got him and placed him into a box with my coat. At lunch time I took him to the store and bought some milk, baby food, and a dropper and fed him and gave him some water.
I already had a bottle at home from nursing a baby squirrel. We had to feed him with the bottle for about one month, slowly making the food thicker as time went on, until he would eat regular food on his own. He stays inside and is either still a little feral or a little touched from the inbreeding but we love him anyway.

Bio: Tink has taken more to my wife even though I saved his life but that's okay. He still has his loving moments and is a good cat regardless. Even though he isn't very affectionate, he knows when you're not feeling well and wants to lay with you then. It seems to be a little more special considering he isn't usually a lap cat until you are ill.
