Standing on her back legs... (no, seriously--she does).
Science diet...? She doesn't seem to care much.
Standing on her hind-legs. She's very good at it. XD
Two months and two upper respiratory infections after being brought into a shelter, Alice (now Persephone Alice) was re-posted for adoption. She'd been offered before, but, bouts of poor-health had kept the poor thing in medical quarantine and off of the adoptable animals-lists.
In another city, only moments after her availability post had gone up, a family was searching for a female cat.
"Well, how do these listing-things work?"
"You just click on the link, toggle the animal type, and presto: cats."
(A collective moment of silence)
"That first one is cute."
"Indeed. It's a girl, too."
"And the shelter's close..."
Several hours later, the two humans set off to meet the cat.
Their visit ended with her adoption.
Unfortunately, the poor thing still has to be spayed. ^__^; I can't imagine that'd be too exciting. Good luck!
Her previous owners moved and left her behind. Apparently making a surrender was too much trouble...thankfully, a kind neighbour rounded the cat up, and brought her to a local shelter. There she made great friends (or, enemies, perhaps) with the wonder that is upper respiratory infections--the poor dear had two.

One of my humans is a graphic designer and photographer. Ever since she saw me, she's been dying to stick a camera in my face (not as mean as it sounds--it's kind of fun, in fact).
Up until now, all of my pictures were the ones taken by the shelter people. They were okay, but, they were kind'a blurry (my human had to sharpen them up for posting) and didn't quite capture how pretty I am.
Still, a move is a big thing, and it wouldn't be nice to plop me in a photoshoot right away, so, my shutterbug human's been waiting 'till I calmed down.
Today was the day.
At first I found the whole thing to be a bit confusing. Especially the camera itself. Every time it went off there was this big 'ka-click!' No flash or anything, but, it sure was loud! I don't remember the camera at the shelter being that noisy...
Well, the sound aside, it was kind'a neat. My human says that I'm a puurrfect model~

And so, it begins.
The spaying operation happened today instead of yesterday like it should have, so, there's much drowsiness to be found.
I'm pretty sure that my new humans think I'm a bit weird. Well, it makes sense, I guess. After all, not many kitties are 100% friendly and relaxed while hiding under a bed~
So, yeah. I came out from under the bed twice. I think. It could have been more, but, who's counting?
My new human(s) and I tossed around some balls, messed around with a pink, fuzzy, un-knock-down-able mouse, & played 'Find the Treat' (best game ever)--
--under the bed.
Maybe I am a bit weird...either that or everything's ten times more amazing when the 'ceiling' is really low. >:3
