Arrival Story:
Lennie is an outdoor cat. She lives in theneighborhood...I think actually a few houses away. The people there feed the cats but they never spay or neuter so there are always kittens and they generally do not trust people(the kittens). Lennie had babies early in the spring. When she showed up pregnant again after I returned from a vacation, I decided something needed to be done. When I thought she was close to being due, I brought her inside and put her into the dog crate. These babies will have a real chance to find good forever homes.
Bio:
Lennie gave birth to 6 adorable kittens on August 11. There are 2 orange, 1 orange and white, 2 calico, and 1 black. Though they are only a day old, they seem to be doing well and Lennie is a good mom. I have nicknamed them all Le Le Le Lennie and the kits. Its too early to tell how many boys and girls, though one can be pretty certain the 2 calicos are girls. Odds on that the oranges are male, but there hare orange females around. The black one...I sort of tried to tell because I know someone who would love a black female, but can't say for certain. Might be wishful hoping on my part, but could be a girl. I may have to keep one of the orangies. At one time I had 3 orange cats but I lost them all this year. I miss orange.
When the babies are weaned, Lennie will be spayed. I may have to put her back outside(I hate thinking about that). I do already have 11 cats inside and hubby looks at me when I say things about adding anymore. Lennie is very sweet and affectionate so maybe I can find her a home as well.
